Ducati Proves To Be A Solid And Profitable Company Even In A Complex Year
Ducati proves to be a solid and profitable company with a positive cash flow even in a complex year like 2020
48,042 motorcycles delivered, € 676 million in turnover and € 24 million in operating profit, equal to 4% of operating margin
The strategy of shifting upward the product range pays off as turnover per motorcycle grows again in 2020
Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding: "Even in the difficult 2020 Ducati remained profitable with a very positive cash flow, the best ever recorded to date."
Oliver Stein, CFO Ducati Motor Holding: "Financial stability is extremely important to support technological development, product and process innovation and Ducati Corse activities."
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 18 March 2021 – Ducati closes a challenging 2020 reinforcing the solidity that the Italian motorcycle manufacturer has demonstrated in the last years. Despite the complex global situation and the seven-week halt in production right at the peak period of the season,... -

My Ducati Finally Turned Up
Hello from NZ
Been a member of the forum for a couple of months, learning some of the ins and outs of Hypermotards, and Ducati in general. Owned and ridden many bikes over the years, but this is my first Ducati, hopefully not my last! Ordered a SC Project de-cat link pipe, now I just need to decide which cans to get. I was leaning towards the SC Project S1's but the S1 Carbon Fibre ones might look quite cool with the black finish. -
Updates To The V4s Corse
Few updates to the V4S Corse
New to ducati , installed the evotech fuel guard, front bobbins , Gilles Rear Sets and Ducabike Rear Wheel Nut.
Next is a new sprocket chain etc and matching ducabike bits , also have a new tail tidy coming along with handlebar mirrors so i can ditch the useless ones.
Never installed anything on a bike until now always had others do it , really enjoyed it despite me being a nervous wreck doing the sets.
Will post more updates as i go. -

959 1299 Electrics On A 959
Probably a pointless mod but was bored and after speaking to various people and being told it couldn’t be done, I thought I’d give it a go as that’s the way I am! Being a bit thick and stubborn can sometimes pay off...
Started off with a 1299 dash. Plugged it in and got the normal error and Unknown Device lights on the screen. Neither the abs or traction lights flashing.
Then bought the BBS off the same bike as this makes things a bit easier. The mileage is stored both in the dash and BBS. If you don’t use the matched pair, you’ll just get the ____ displayed where the mileage should be. A Texa can sync them but only to the higher stored mileage of the two.
Then I managed to get the 1299 main wiring harness, abs pump and IMU for an absolute steal from the states. Proper cheap, the whole lot came to about £250 which wouldn’t even get you an abs pump over here.
Unplugged the abs off the 959 and fitted the 1299 pump with the dash and bbs. Most of the errors then disappeared. This... -
Ducati Forum Ceramic Coating Deal!
Thanks to Mark / @Carbon749 , Gary at MotorSpa In Swadlincote is delighted in offering ducatiforum members only as a “Ducati Forum” owners deal for ceramic coating your bikes.
The full treatment includes:
Pre wash, snowfoam, 2 bucket safe wash, 3 stages of decontamination including wheels (chemical and clay bar) blow dry with warm air, machine polish to remove any marring, swirls and light scratches in the paintwork, the bike is then completely degreased once more ready for the ceramic to be applied.
The 3 year lasting 9H hardness ceramic is applied to all areas of the bike i.e. paintwork, forks, wheels, frame, swingarm, instrument cluster and most importantly to the engine and exhaust system (which is a service most dealerships areunable offer) as we use a specific and unique motorcycleceramic designed to handle heat up to 750°
The ceramic is also air brushed onto the motorcycle (not wiped on) so it covers all components with an even coating.
Benefits :-

Pamper Session And Ceramic Coat
Bike has been away, to be pampered at the Spa (MotorSpa). Full wash, decontamination, machine polish/stage one paint correction and 3 year ceramic coating over everything, including wheels, engine and exhaust. Ceramic coat applied by air brush, to get in to all the parts of the engine, wheels etc etc
Looks better than the day it came out of the factory, paint work is like glass.
First time I’ve had this done, early days, but the initial results are stunning.
Mates “Hardley” Breakout in the background.
The pictures really don’t do justice to the finish. -
For Sale 900ss Carb. Model
Well this has been a long time coming and I have changed my mind several times but I have finally decided to sell my Supersport.
I did have a Gumtree advert written out but the thought of getting offers of swaps for rusty old Vauxhall Astras and worn out 125s that were made in China was not at all appealing!
It is one of the very last standard ones with carburettors and I have owned it since June 2000. 12,487 miles. It was imported new by St Annes Superbikes and registered in April 1998. I am the second owner.
April last year it was fitted with new Pirelli Angel GT tyres, battery, cam belts as well as a new aftermarket clutch slave cylinder. Oil and filter were changed and valve clearances checked at the same time. I never used it due to lockdown but set about exploring the deserted back roads on my 40 year old Suzuki SB200 instead.
The bike has been stored off the ground with the wheels regularly rotated and the engine turned slightly every so often to stop the belts sitting... -

For Sale 1198s 2010
I have very reluctantly finally accepted that at 68 my 'mint' 1198s is just too much bike for me. It's a criminal waste for it to sit in my garage unused, so perhaps it's time to sell?
It's a 2010 purchased new (by me) from Ducati Manchester. 13345 miles. FSH. MoT to 22/09/21 Full belt service by Wayne at GTec last autumn. Brand new battery. Termi (slash) slip-ons & ECU fitted when new (Originals included). Carbon hugger & tank protector. Tail pack (Ducati). Abba stand. NB! Standard (original) screen now fitted, not the bubble in photo.
£9500 Contact me if interested. I'm in no rush. East Midlands. -
1299 First Purchase
TTX shock turned up today, and throttle spacers (possibly most expensive it of plastic ever) on their way.
Physio Friday and see how fast I can sort my calf out so ready to roll soon as weather picks up. Tax it in March for essential shopping runs -
748 Bought A Dodgy 748 Of A Bloke Down The Pub.
(Mods, feel free to delete this as it might not be appropriate for this forum.)
Pre lockdown I was at the pub and after a few, got offered an old 748 that needed some work. It's a very unusual one as it's on the small side in every respect. Anyway it's fully rebuilt now and sits along side my other yellow 748. -
Duc From Down Under
Hi folks, been lurking around here for a while, enjoying the piss taking from afar (Western Australia). Thought it only fair I start contributing to the mayhem.
A few too many years ago I kinda had the right bike, a 916 built to SP spec, at the wrong time. I loved it, but knew fuck all about Ducati's or set up. Life took one of those loop de loops, it was sold, and I discovered the track/racing.
So the years kept inexorably slipping by, more life loop de loops, but racing a Superbike even at just club level has gotten expensive and I find myself an old bastard looking at Ducati's again. I'm thinking an interesting middleweight would be a welcome change from a superbike eating tyres the way a Labrador eats breakfast. Whether I liked it or not the track had knocked a few more "tools" into my noggin....but I still knew fuck all about Ducati's.
You only live once and I leapt back into the Duc pond with a 749R trackbike. It needed a lot of sorting but it's a wee ripper and after... -

In Praise Of “meals To Finish At Home” But Something Different To The Run Of The Mill
Some of you will know that I am a bit of a foodie and having spent a lot of time in Spain over the last 15 years, I am a big fan of traditional Spanish food, especially tapas. Probably 4 years ago after a London bike show, Carole and I found “Jose’s”, a tiny tapas bar in Bermondsey Street, not far from Tower Bridge. Since then, whenever we have been to London, we have tried to eat there because we feel it is that good.
Jose Pizarro, the owner and renowned Spanish chef, may well have thought about expanding his UK culinary empire by offering typical and regional Spanish food delivered to your door to cook at home but certainly the lockdown during this pandemic pushed this wonderful idea to the fore.
Okay, I know not everyone takes to things like braised ox cheeks and squid ink croquetas and I also appreciate not everyone has a disposable income to blow £75 on a meal for 2 (that actually feeds 3) but tonight we have enjoyed a traditional Basque menu of pickled, queen olives stuffed... -
