996 Poggipolini (?) Ducati Performance Rear Sets
Scored some of the above on eBay and fitted them, mainly for grippier pegs.
I do have a matching brake pedal but the pin diameter on the bike is about .25mm wider than the hole on the DP lever so will stick with stock rear brake for the moment. Anyone come across this problem before?
Also took off the standard hens teeth original screen and replaced with a cheapo Chinese double bubble. Excuse the flies!

First Ducati On It's Way
Hi all,
Still kind of pinching myself but yesterday I paid the holding deposit on a 1299 that I collect next Friday. Kind of all been a bit of a fast-paced decision in the end but sure one that I won't regret.
I've been riding since the end of 2014 and had an SV650s as my first bike so I've had a twin before albeit half the size and then ridden a GSX-R750 for the last three years. Just decided that it was time to move on to something different so and had always thought the 959 would be the bike I'd go to but the test ride left me wanting more, it just didn't feel like the step up in delivery that I'd hoped for over my 750, hence where the 1299 comes in.
One came up at a new dealer in Swindon that's higher mileage than others at 16k but it's had two owners, six Ducati stamps and two desmo services and for the price, it just made so much sense to me. Part of me kind of likes the idea of having a less pristine garage queen as when the inevitable little things happen it won't... -

For Sale 1997 Ducati 748 Biposto - 10,000miles
I'm coming to the realisation that having 5 bikes is probably a bit much for me, so am tentatively putting this advert up for my 748.
It currently has just over 10,000 genuine miles, quite a bit of history, including original bill of sale and all manuals. Has just has a belt replacement service (Aug 2020)
Services
1000 miles in 1997
2500 miles in 1998
6500 miles in 2000
9500 miles in September 2018
10500 miles in August 2020
The September 2018 service was a huge £2000+ recommissioning service as the bike was in storage for a number of years. Brand new Michelin tyres last year with only a few hundred miles on since. New front pads just fitted. I am happy to put a fresh MOT on it if desired. I have done 750 miles in my ownership with no issues at all, and it is still in use so mileage may rise slightly.
It's a lovely genuine and honest bike, and as such has a few minor marks on the fairings which I have tried to capture in the pictures. The front wheel appears to have had brake... -
916 Eprom Back-to-back Comparison
A few months ago, I picked up a NOS Ultimap chip in a clearance sale for only $60.
Today was the day to install.
To make it interesting, how about we go ride a 5 mile loop, change the chips and see if there's any difference?
Gear on, start bike, let idle at 1000rpm for a couple of minutes while I get the helmet sorted.
Out onto a 50mph limit backroad and give it a bit of fang. Bike seems to run well enough, although as per normal, midrange is lacking. But that's just the way a 916 is, right?
Home again, tail up, P8 out, bottom lid open:
So ok, it has a FBF chip not an OEM ducati one, but I'm still hopeful there will be at least some difference.. The FBF chip made the bike run too rich anyway, so less carbon buildup on plugs & exhaust will be appreciated.
Out she comes, and in goes the UM061. A chip designed for a 916 Strada with Termis, which is very handy as I happen to have a 916 Strada with Termis.
Now, when these came out FIM made some bold claims: Improved top end power...... -

Hello!
Hello fellow Ducatisti,
I've been on the forum for a short while and I've never said Hello!
How rude of me to just lurk and not introduce myself.
I'm Karl, I live in Sussex and got my Ducati Monster 796 last year in May
as my first big bike. It's been fun and interesting riding her to say the least!

For Sale Gaging Interest 02 748r
Those who know me and know this bike know that this won’t be a decision made lightly but something has come up that I fancy so looking at how quickly I can raise some cash. So looking to gage interest, at a figure I would accept - not looking to negotiate.
it’s my absolutely beautiful 2002 748r.
Think I’m the 4th owner, I’ve had it about 3 or 4 years now. Full service history with big folder of receipts. Mileage is just over 7k. Never been restored, it’s in factory condition and bar a tiny chip on the LHS belly it’s in exceptional condition. Has road termis an original Ducati dust cover supplied when new. Will have it serviced before sale at mototechnica had new tyres fitted last season and have done maybe 300 miles on them. This is collector grade
I have had offers in the past at this figure and even slightly more, but was never for sale so irrelevant.
I will only sell if I buy this new thing I’ve got my eye on and will keep hold of my 996SPS
price would be £11.5k -
Hello From Sunny Greece!
Hi all.....I'm a previous Ducati Pantah 500 owner living for 10 years now in Southern Greece...the Pantah was a lovely little bike which I bought new from Slocombes of Neasden in the early eighties. She's long gone alas but DVLC says she still exists but now in Black! Have also owned a 1978 Moto Guzzi Le Mans. Many marques later (15 !) , I look back and think that the two bikes were maybe the most memorable I have owned in some 46 years of motorcycling. Am looking to purchase a nice used 2004 Monster Dark as being a little older now and vertically challenged I need something manageable but fun! I look forward to contributing to this fine forum. -
Finally Some Progress T5
Hopefully this will be finished in time for the pending trackday season and I’ll be able to enjoy a few weekends away with my dodgy bird before heading back east.
Scheduled for collection close of business Tuesday it has been a long time coming. Fook knows what the bill will be like, I am pretty sure I could have bought a new one though with the amount spent on converting it so far! -
For Sale 1199 Panigale Track Bike Special Engine Mega Spec
£11,500
The only reason I'm selling is after 15 years of riding tracks in UK and Europe I'm finally calling it a day. Other priorities in life, changed interests. Breaks my heart but time is up.
This was an 1199S which was used on the road for a bit then converted. Previous owner was a wealthy chap so it wanted for nothing. It was looked after by JHP and still is. Sat unused 2015-2018 which is when I bought it and threw even more money at it. So genuine mileage of around 5000 (I'd have to re-connect the battery to check).
Tuned engine by JHP Ducati Coventry (ported, Carrillo rods, balanced crank, blueprinted)
Nova gear box
R swingarm
ABS delete kit fitted by JHP
Lightweight Marchesini wheels with Dunlop D211/D212 slicks
Termignoni superstock Reparto Corse EVO 3 (longer) exhaust, gives more low down drive (not available from your local dealer). Headers wrapped to under the seat
ECU remapped by JHP
Race fairing with DP light blanks fitted & double bubble race screen, painted by... -
For Sale 1989 851 Strada (monoposto) - Lincs, Ln7
This one is going to be a wrench... so please buy one of the others I'm listing...
1989 Ducati 851 Strada (monoposto), one of 751 made.
20,995km recorded on the odometer
3 owners from new
Extensively recommissioned in 2018/19 by Italia Moto in Lincoln not restored!
Wonderful to ride, listen to and look at
Heading back to Italia Moto for service and MoT imminently so will be up to date.
Wealth of documentation supplied inc. original handbooks etc.
I always wanted one of these, it had to be an early one... it had to be a monoposto.
Forum rules insist that I put a price, so for guidance... £10,000 but if you're serious, talk to me... as with all my bikes, Italia Moto take care of them for me and I just enjoy riding them and polishing them. This bike has been known to them since it was nearly new. Phil will likely be pretty cross with me for selling it. -

Italian Living In London With A Streetfighter
Dear Ducatisti,
I have finally received my Streetfighter here in London from Italy as the likelihood of travelling back and forth in the coming weeks is virtually none, so I will try and enjoy it here in the UK.
I have been following this forum on and off, and appreciate the suggestions and helpful tips I have collected so far, so thank you very much to all of you petrol heads!
As my usual riding buddies are all located in Italy, it would be nice to meet other West London based riders to go for a few rides around.
Hopefully we will have the opportunity to meet in the near future.
Ciao!

998s Refurb
Refurb - pah, even as I start this thread I know full well this is going to end up expensive and my PayPal account is going to get hammered.
Anyway, here we go......
I bought myself a 998S
1 owner, full service history, 5800 miles (only done 1200 miles in the last few years) so hardly used. It has a few extra farkles on there (yes, I know, it's a biposto with a mono seat before anyone points out) such as titanium Termis, CF air tubes, CF clutch cover, CF mono seat, CF exhaust heat shields, CF fuel cap, DP race footpegs, plus I have a big bundle of paperwork including original invoice. I also have the original seat, the original footpegs, the original exhausts and all the other original bits that have been replaced, plus both keys and the original book/manual set. It was also spec'd when ordered with a Troy Bayliss Replica decal kit. Not the same kit as THE Troy Bayliss Replica but (thanks to @andyb ) I've identified it as the kit from Troy Bayliss' 2002 WSBK... -
