Just Moved Back From 8 Years In Belgium
How easy is it to register Belgian bike in UK? -
Hi From Yorkshire New Guy.
Hi all. Been around bikes since I was 13. Just over 50 years later I’ve worked up to Ducati! Had a few different Italian bikes. I enjoy my garage time as much as my riding. Just done a belt and valve service on my first desmo engine. Just took my time, read up throughly and all went well. Looking forward to plenty tech talk with you guys. Cheers all around! -
748 New 748 Owner
hi all. been a member on here for years. used to own a beautiful 999s and felt the need for another ducati.
that 748/916 look is still the most beautiful bike ever made imho. it might even outshine my aprilia rs250 in the looks department.
I'd been keeping an eye out for a absolute minter at sensible money. wasn't too fussed which cc at the time. I do have a soft spot for the 748 engine.
anyways this 748 popped up. was a non runner in great condition. all the plating on the bolts is lovely. all the paint is still where it should be on the engine cases too.
was so excited collecting it. like a kid at Christmas again.
the bike had recently been serviced (belts done too) but had cut out whilst riding and the seller didn't have the funds to sort it.
loaded her up and took the slowest drive home to be sure not to break it.
got her home. fairings off. there was a radiator clip entirely missing ! power of god must have been keeping it in place!
turn ignition on. I can hear... -
For Sale Immaculate Sport Classic
Hi all. Just wanted to flag this up to forum members. Bought this gorgeous bike from a fellow member nearly three years ago but new acquisitions (V4RS) mean it’s time to move this one on.
Stunning Ducati Sport Classic in beautiful condition. £18,500. 2007, 6300 miles and three previous owners before I acquired it three years ago. The bike has been carefully and extensively modified and improved over standard but comes with all original equipment to return to stock if desired. Service history (including regular, documented belt changes) and just had another full belt and fluids service by renowned Ducati specialist, Glen Harrison at Moto-V (who loves and will testify for the bike). MOT till June but happy to put another year on it.
Modifications include classic lightweight Kineo wire spoked wheels.
Suspension is Ohlins twin rear shocks, Showa fully adjustable Monster forks revalved by and using K Tech parts and the steering damper has been upgraded to an Ohlins unit.

1200 DVT Yellow Multistrada 1200s 2015
This is my Multistrada 1200S 2015 with 40K miles I have from new and decided to see how it looks in yellow as I've seen an older post about it and the new Pikes Peak Unica in yellow. The painted fairings are a second set found on eBay in red a bit damaged but repaired and painted in yellow. Now I just have to wait for a bit of sunny weather to go out for a spin. What are your thoughts ? -
Courier Tales (long Post)
Yes, I've got that frustrated author urge again!
Having brought up the K75 BMW:
You can see how, amusingly, the owners went with a livery that made the bikes, at least, easily confused with police vehicles. The Trannies too, I suppose. The model was the RT – also as used by the cops. When I joined, Trans Action (never thought of it as two words) was trans itioning from R80RT Beemers, so that’s what I started on. Both models had the rack on the back for the extendable blue light the police bikes had, on which the R80 had a mobile phone aerial, but the K75 didn’t. The phone was mounted in the left pannier on both, which I’d turn off when the office kept calling it while I was on the motorway, or negotiating city centre traffic.
Details are hazy now; I don’t recall whether I rode the 800 Boxer 100,000 miles, or just 75,000. I rode the 750 triple for 75,000. I’d spent a year without a bike after selling the Jota, on which I covered 25,000 miles, which further confuses matters. And... -
1200 S 1200s Stripe 2015
Seeing as the winter is long and as much as my best intentions seem to be I can’t help but potter and never keep anything standard.
I picked up a monster in October last year having been unable to ride due to an ankle fracture in January. I managed get out for a few rides before the salt went down.
Since Christmas I’ve added a few bits.
Just fitted a set of GB Clutch covers, they are intended for an 848 as GB don’t specify they fit for the Monster. They are a perfect fit. I’ve changed the front and rear indicators for Ducati LED dynamics.
A set of Marchesini’s in gold, RCS corsa Corta master brake cylinder, this required a different starter and kill switch, I went down the Jetprime route. The switch was a direct replacement for the throttle tube clamp which saves space.
I’ve replaced the smoked reservoirs for clear, new chain and sprockets, titanium wheel nuts and sprocket nuts.
I have put a heal tech gear indicator on..
That’s about it for now, here’s a few pics -
Yo! Dudes.
Hello to you all. I have been a 'Ducatista' for many a year. Two valve, four valve, no bevels as yet. Nor likely. I have recently sold my ST4s, that was absolutely fantastic, I have had it twelve years with no problems at all, but I did think it was time I got something a bit more modern. However I cannot afford a Honda, so got a 1260 Multi instead . I am muchly pleased with it. I am impressed with the sales team at Ducati Manchester, especially Charlie, who knows her stuff alright. There are a few little bits that need sorting, but to me that's half the fun, any excuse to get in the shed! I live in the west of Gods own county. I am a member of the CMA (Christian Motorcyclist Association) So when I meet you I will more than likely give you a bikers bible, you will realise that here it is sunny and warm every day, perfect weather and roads for a bit of biking. I hope to meet some of you once this heat wave disappears and I can get out in my 'T' shirt, shorts and riding sandals.... -
Hi From Tasmania
Hi all
Returning to riding at age 50 after 25 year break first Ducati two weeks ago so learning a lot. 38k on this 1998 900 ssie. Have fixed oil leak from alternator cover and put new clutch plates in. Now investigating flickering oil pressure light at warm idle. So I guess it's welcome to the love/hate relationship we have with Italian moving parts -
Finally Pulled The Trigger
Evening all
Just secured a 1200 Multistrada PP edition and now keeping a very close eye on the weather for a decent spell so I can fly down to collect her (I'm in Edinburgh and she's in Maldon). Have become worryingly knowledgeable about sudden stratospheric warming events. . . .
Sold my K1300s last year and been driving myself around the bend all winter with what to get next. Loved the K13 but always preferred twins.
Toyed with a 748/916/996/998, Supersport or KTM SDGT but spotted the PP edition and knew there and then it's what I was having next.
Also have a R1100s which was my first true love which I don't ever see myself parting with.
Can't wait to get to ride it . . . . -

Hypermotard 698
I see the journos have been out riding it in Spain (ironically in the rain)
Josh Herrin reckons its the best bike he has ever ridden. Either paid a load of cash to say it or very high praise indeed. -

916sp And 748sps Wheels And Suspension Upgrades Over Winter
Tinkering in the garage on a weekend over winter. I’ve got the 748sps back together, have upgraded the front forks & yokes to öhlins fg8851, a set of Marchensini mag wheels in black and a set of dp/JHP rearsets. I’ve stripped the fairings off the ‘94 916sp ready for fitting DP mag yokes, öhlins fg43 forks and set of gold marchensini mag wheels. -
