916 1994 916 Restoration
Hello everyone thought I would start my 916 restoration project thread off.
So to begin it’s a 1994 916 Strada built in Varese after the fire in Bolonga so ether the holy grail or absolute heresy depending on who you ask.
The bike is currently rough as a badgers tadger cosmetically and on 26k miles much higher mileage than I would like but for the price I paid it was an absolute steal for a 1994.
The bike is complete baring an original cajiva stamped screen and original faring rivets which I have already sourced from a member on here. I have reams of paperwork including the original bill of sale and dealers acceptance paperwork.
So the restoration is going to be a full back to frame job as the bike needs completely repainted frame, engine, fairings the lot.
but it has been maintained faultlessly mechanically by the previous owner.
I even managed to track down the original owner who was delighted to find out the bike was still around and was thrilled with my intention to restore her... -
Everyday I Wake Up A New Man
Hello DucatiForum UK. I'm Mike a SoCal Ducatisti. I'm a long member of another US. Ducatiforum but I thought I'd give this one a try as well. I've owned a handful of docs over the years but currently in the garage are a 2002 748 and a 2020 Multi1260 Enduro. I sold my truck a while back So I commute daily on the multi and the 748. I hope to be a great addition to the community and look forward to reading through the great library of information these forums keep.
Thanks

Kraków
Flew over from Bristol Monday morning with squeezy jet, £296 4 nights, quality hotel, staying in the old Jewish town district, the food & beer are so well priced, 9 zloty Tyskie polish lager, very good, equates to £1.75 ...thoroughly recommend it, visited Auschwitz / Birkenau today, extremely humbling

Carbon Carla V.2.1 (monster S4)
This is how she looks at the moment since the fitment of @bettes carbon fibre wheels, a Motogadget dash, a new trick headlight and a pair of Supercorsas.
Ironically, given her name, she doesn't have her best carbon fibre frock on as the tank has sprung a leak, so that's a steel tank and OE plastic seat unit with a rattle can spray job.
Next stage(s):
- Swap the brand new Supercorsas back to old 2CTs so I can use her in the winter.
- Get carbon tank repaired and refitted, along with the CF seat unit.
- Headlight shroud cunningly fashioned from an S4 mudguard I have lying around.
- Fork covers by Paolo Tex custom made in carbon.
- 996 S4R engine swap (fingers crossed I am buying @dukesox bike as a donor).
- Ohlins forks and radial brakes.
I also feel at this point I should give a shout out to the workshop which has done the work on the bike which is beyond the scope of my skills or my facilities, ie: most of it (I only have an outdoor yard and a small shed, so very limited) -... -

For Sale Multistrada 1200s 2010
I have decided that my bike has to go, as I need funds for a change of career and my current situation means this is the most economical way of doing things. I will post full spec later but here are a couple. 36000 miles, just had an MOT shocks serviced this year, heated grips, centre stand and panniers with liners, all belts done and had a desmo shim check 3 weeks ago. Anyone who knows me will understand that my bike is looked after with no expense spared.
Want £4600 for it. More pictures and stuff later. -
Huge Shout Out To Snells ....
Just wanted to say a big thanks to Tom and the gang at Snells....
Was prepping the Pani for Portimao when it threw a Engine light, called Tom, explained and he made ramp space immediately, got my local van hire to give me a van for the afternoon and whizzed it straight down there ....
Out the van, on the ram, diagnosed and repaired in 65 minutes, MAP sensor had gone ......
Bike now back in garage and ready to get shipped Saturday....
And that my friends is why you build a relationship with a dealer and not just screw them on price ...... -
