1200 Spain Trip
Went to Spain for 10 days, Plymouth to Santander (Rtn) stayed in Ainsa and rode out from there, used best biking roads for some ideas but to be honest-all the roads around there are pretty awesome! Got a cheeky €50 on the spot speeding fine - but the coppers were pretty cool!
Low point was when out heading for Argeles Gazost, I got overtaken by a GS, (not being happy with that) I went for it, chased him for all I was worth, I struggled to keep up with him for about 10km, then after he passed a car before a sharp bend, I lost him... I was gutted, no, devastated that I had my arse handed to me by a fekkin GS!! Anyway, I spotted him a few KM later, tried to chase him again, then he stopped at a Cafe! I parked up next to him and was soooo relieved to see it was a Multi 1260 Enduro with the big square metal panniers fitted!!
Anyway, he introduced himself and after a quick chat, he worked for Ducati Spain and was planning a route for a ride out! He also described himself as... -
Picked Her Up Today
Here’s my new whip already covered in shit from the rain and tractor goo that I’ve been riding through, done 120 miles so far on her this morning and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. What a great machine these are and make you smile like a loon. I know they are not everybody’s cup of tea but dang they are fun to ride! First job was to put it in sport mode, turn wheelie control off, turn abs down and attempt to run bike in under 6000 rpm lol -
V4 V4s Corse Ordered!
I’ve only gone and done it I sold my 1199 on Friday, went to the new Ducati Worcester dealership for their launch day on the Sunday and walked out with a V4S Corse. Well not literally but order placed anyways. Dorian the GM seems like a top bloke, did me a cracking deal and no hard sell or anything like that - so far so good
Oh and I met a rather nice fella there called Carl - he’s supposed to be a bit handy on a Ducati apparently... -
New Track Bike.
The new Suzuki was delivered this morning and I'm pleasantly surprised how small and light it is.

Newbie 1098, Bit Of A Project!
Hi all,
Bought my first Ducati about a month ago and I would love to say it`s the best thing ever, but it needs some TLC and I`m yet to properly ride it. It was apparently the project bike of Snell Ducati Alton and had a lot of work done on it when new, fairings, clutch, hi comp pistons, exhaust blablabla.
15k later and it`s running rough and stalling so it`s strip down and build up time. Here to get some advice and hopefully give some back in the process!
And me, biker for 14 awesome years, currently on a 08 zzr1400, love a track day, cruise, whatever gets the wheels rolling!
I`m sure I`ll have a tonne of questions and annoying posts along the way, but for now, just saying Hi...! -

Introducing Myself Here
Hi there, new to the forum so thought I'd introduce myself, relatively new rider based in south west london and new owner of a 2014 899 Panigale.
The bike is mostly stock aside from the full Akrapovic system, tail tidy and a few carbon bits. -
Greenlaning Weekend, Moors & Coast.
Two brilliant days off road riding around the Whitby and North Yorkshire moors area.
Arrived at the campsite Friday afternoon, I`m ready, the bike is ready, and my tent is pitched. I even had time to take the crap out of my mate, he`s got the tools out already, this won`t come back to haunt me, will it.
09:00hrs Saturday morning and we`re off, I`m in the company of new-ish bikes, but my plucky 20 year old nail can hold it`s own, riding past downed KTM riders is the best feeling............in the world.
Unfortunately, this smugness only lasted until late afternoon.
After dinner, my bike started popping and banging through the exhaust on the over run, the pilot screw had started to unscrew, I had to adjust it a couple more times but eventually, after a long-ish run on the road, the inevitable happened, my bike stops, the pilot screw had fallen out and was lost to the wilds of the Yorkshire Moors. To get me going again, I wound the tickover up and got my mate to hold his finger... -

1299 Another Panigale R For The Forum……
Without boring the arse off you all, I have been hankering after an R for a while, but, owning a V4S already was making my head fuzzy.
Long story short, the V4S is no longer mine and my new (to me) Pani R arrived today (V4 parts for sale shortly). I am smitten. 2015 bike with 4800 miles on the clock.
Why swap out? The V twin is an R that I think will appreciate in time and, most importantly, it just fits me better, being that bit slimmer.
I have loved owning and riding the V4 but it was never going to be a keeper – more a feisty mistress than long term partner. I think the R will change that and it makes a great stablemate for the 748r.
Couple of pics here, more to follow. It has Ducabike clutch cover, Rizoma reservoirs, Oberon clutch. Got all the standard parts as well. Need to get out for a ride now to bed in the new pads and tyres.
Must say thanks to @brettski for letting me have a sit on his R the other week which confirmed the “fit” and especially @cookster for his... -
V4 She’s Arrived! 25 Year Anniversary Model
After weeks of waiting (for the paint to dry and decals to arrive) my 916 25th Anniversary V4 has arrived . It’s great and soooo fast.
It’s got a single side swing arm, front and rear, a dry clutch (well dry CVT drive) and it’s even got a limited edition transfer on the yoke, just like the Bologna version. Mind you it’s only a V1, I’ve got to save up for the other 3 cylinders
I reckon if Ducati can take something that’s not a 916 and call it a 25th Anniversary 916 then so can I. Plus they’ll never ship one to Ireland so I had to improvise.
ps The donor machine is in the last photo. -
Ducati Multistrada Hits The 100,000 Mark
Ducati Multistrada hits the 100,000 mark
A 1260 Pikes Peak is the 100,000th Multistrada built by the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer
The Multistrada 1260 and 950 have achieved a maturity and excellence that place them at the pinnacle of this model's development history
Valve play check every 30,000 km on all engines
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 17 September 2019 – Sixteen years after the first Multistrada rolled off the assembly line, the family has now reached the 100,000-bike milestone. Multistrada number 100,000, a Pikes Peak version of the 1260 with a customised laser marking on the top yoke, was handed over to Dave Hayward - a German Ducatista who had ordered his Multistrada from the Düsseldorf dealership - by none other than Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali in person.
Ducati's dual-purpose motorcycle has always been technologically cutting-edge. In 2010 the Multistrada was the first bike to feature riding modes, the system that changes the very character of the... -
Greetings From Saudi Arabia!
I'm definitely a newbie as this is my first Ducati, even though I have ridden a few in the past. I'm a Brit ex-pat working out here, luckily I live one hour from Bahrain. There are plenty of fellow riders there, a Ducati dealership and the Bahrain International circuit. It's cooling down here and the season is about to start. The photos are from a test ride last season, the bike is still evolving! Looking forward to riding my very special 1299 Panigale! -
1200 DVT Multistrada, And First Ever Tour
Well it's been quite a trip, 12 days, 2660miles covered, 58 hours in the saddle, most miles in one day 468, 7 countries visited, 8 mountains passes ridden, 6 laps of Nurburgring, Ducati museum visited, 2 1/2 days riding break in Venice, Black Forrest and Eifel region ridden, was advised to avoid Switzerland, God knows why, scenery and roads were second to none, and German autobahn are..... fast lol, and Multistrada didn't disappoint.
This was my first ever proper tour, and day I got back I could have set off and done it all again, I've never had a bike that could cover the miles like it, got a taste for it now, need see where I can go next year, need to spend more time in one country, Austria, Italy and Switzerland were my favourites.
Would recommend the Hotel Enzian in Landeck, Austria, bikers hotel, very friendly , and give you tips for routes to ride, definitely go back there again. -
1200 DVT Multistrada 1200s On Assen Trackday
Had some fun at the Assen TT race track last week!
Paddock:
The multi is, with its tall posture, a bit of an oddity in the 'experienced' group. Nevertheless allows me to keep up with the sportsbikes... more or less.
Note the right hand mirror ... couldn't get it off ... due to corrosion after two winters...
As you can see... I did the best I could but the bike was far from its limits. The tires however did have a hard time:
These were almost fresh ... before.
Settings where: sport, suspension Hardest (front and rear), preload 18, tire pressure 2.1 (front and rear)
Also ... compared to my previous trackday at Assen, 10 years ago, on a BMW R1200S ...
... it took me 8 seconds more to do one lap ... but I guess I can't blame the bike for that ....
All with all it was good fun!!! -

Happy days
What a top notch laughter machine it is -
Preview Ducati My2020: Monster 1200 S Becomes "black On Black"
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 12 September 2019 – Ducati looks to 2020 with the presentation of a new colour scheme for the Monster 1200 S. For this coming season, in fact, the most iconic naked will feature a "Black on Black" livery with alternating gloss black and matt black parts. The Monster 1200 S will also remain available in traditional Ducati Red.
This all-new colour scheme combines two classic Monster hallmarks: sport performance - accentuated by the flash of red on the rims - and sheer style, as brought out by the black. First launched in 1993, the Monster has defined the Sport Naked segment ever since. Today's version continues to express the very essence of this category to maximum effect.
The Monster 1200 is equipped with an up-to-the-minute Testastretta 11° DS engine, capable of delivering 147 hp at 9,250 rpm and a full yet linear torque curve; that power is safely handled at all times by the Ride by Wire system and inertial platform, which provide ABS Cornering,... -

Old School 748 Revival....
Not really had a project of my own for years now, but following a call from a past customer about reviving his 748 back to service, I ended up buying it....
Back in 2007 I built this bike from the ground up for him. It's done about 4k miles since then and spent the last 5 years or under a cover... It should be a good base line to work from.
It's a 2001 748 and got treated to a Sigma 853 big bore kit and bespoke FIM eprom, Ohlins rear shock, Marchi' 5 spoke wheels, MPL clutch parts, new calipers and discs and the frame/chassis parts powder coated satin black. Pretty much the "done thing" back then. The chassis got built with new bearings and fasteners throughout. The seat unit is kind of growing on me, but we'll see. I do like the colourway though with the white/black theme.
The engine is my thing though... I love the 853 conversion and the FIM eprom works really well.
So while she's never going to be a minter, she'll be a tidy little road tool and maybe see a track day or to.
First...
