Bought Myself A V4...
.....Tuono V4 Factory.
A little bit of an impulse purchase, saw it last Saturday left a dipper, took it for a test ride on Monday and just had to buy it.
2017 model with all its bells and whistles, the noise is intoxicating and the way it goes could give the Pani a serious run for its money. -
My Pyrenees/ Northern Spain Tour
Got back yesterday from my 10 day tour of the Pyrenees and North East Spain. A two day ride from Caen down to Pau. Over the Pyrenees, I then headed east to La Seu d'Urgell towards Andora, A lot of that bit on the wonderful N260. Then south and on towards Zaragoza, from there Ainsa and Huesca. Then Burgos and up to a bit of the Picos and boat home from Santander. Only about four hours of rain on the whole trip. For the Llieda area I thoroughly recommend Moturisme, they have a web site. They have a brochure/map showing some fantastic routes and approved biker hotels. Just under 2000 miles and for me it was always going to be the proper test of my 1260s and it passed with flying colours, didn't miss a beat and the perfect bike for the trip. Here are a few pics -

999 Got Myself A 999s
After selling my M797 a few months ago I soon realized I needed another Ducati in my life.
Picked this one up a couple of weeks ago, not a minter but not too shabby either.
It's a genuine 2003 mono with just short of 14.5 k on the clock. Has a mish mash of fairings on which I will get back to original as time and money allows.
I have just fitted the Exact start cable kit (thanks Exige), more as a precaution really as it wasn't too bad before.
Had it valeted when it arrived....
Here's a few more pics (with the bins)... -
S2r1000
I have just bought this lovely S2R1000 Monster, it is a 2005 bike with just 10k miles. I had one before and regretted selling it so was delighted when this one popped up on Ebay at a good price.
A big thank you to Carl @I'mclosingin for collecting it from The Wirral and then delivering it to me in Bedfordshire, it was good to meet both you and Debbie.
Anyway, here are some pics including the obligatory bin shot for Dave :- -
Hopefully Nailed Our Little Ebay Fraudster...
The ebay fraudster who would post adverts of bikes that didn’t even exist with start prices of 99p and in the description either saying he was selling them on behalf of his brother or a friend etc etc. He always said in the description do not bid for the listing but e mail him direct..
Many of us frustrated by his actions reported him via the report option on the listing only to find yes, the listing taken down only for him to put the same adverts up again the next day..
Last week he had 21 adverts all saying exactly the same in a row under “ Ducati for sale”
On e bay ..
I decided enough was enough and phoned ebay eventually getting through to their fraud dept. I told them that many Ducati enthusiast are boycotting their site now as they are totally fed up of the fraudulent listings etc and are avoiding the site because of it.. At first I was told that they were aware of such issues. However when I said how we had all reported this chap only for the listings to reappear the... -
Great Service From Jamie Clare
I had the pleasure of using @Jamie Clare for a one off CNC part.
He gave an honest price and was delivered within a short lead time.
Being a time served toolmaker, I can say the quality and accuracy is very good.
It fitted spot on and would not hesitate to use his services again or recommend to others wanting any parts made.
If you need something made, contact him for a great service.deleteduser211220 Jun 18, 2019 Ducati General Discussion Read More Views: 2,794 Likes: 11 Replies: 26 -

Hello
I have joined the forum after visiting for some weeks.
I spent nine years in France before returning to the UK. Presently, I live in the Newark (Notts) area.
I have my first Ducati and it is a SS1000DS.
I thought hard about wether to go for a 900SS or 1000DS . I preferred the earlier fairing shape to the later type.
Anyway, I chose to go for the 1000DS as the engine seemed to be the pinnacle of the air cooled two valve SS. So specification over looks, although my bike is grey and the excesses of curves in the fairing seem to be muted by the colour.
The bike is a handsome machine.
It has a sawn-off air box and Termignonis and is lazily quick.
That's a bit about me and mine. -
Hi & Happy Sunday !
Hi there !
I’d like to introduce myself to everybody, as I’ve just joined up ...
I’m a born-again rider, after taking a family ‘time-out’ and wanted to have somewhere I could feel part of a group of riders with similar bikes to mine. My new partner and I both have Ducati’s - he was the one who influenced me - as I was always a Honda rider as a youngster ( I have a CB400/4 f2 also)
Above is a photo of my 851 SP2 ...
I’m just starting out out a pro photographer for my second career and one of my passions is bike & car photography.
Looking forward to reading lots of good stuff on here - and getting useful help with things !
Hoping it’s as sunny & dry where you are at the moment - and that you can go out for a great ride today !

Ducati At The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb With The Prototype Streetfighter V4
The Bologna-based Company makes Streetfighter V4’s arrival in 2020 official
The PPIHC race track in Colorado (United States) chosen as the proving ground for the new Ducati Streetfighter model
Carlin Dunne, who won the 2018 edition of the race, will be riding the prototype
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 13 June 2019 - Ducati is preparing for the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb; in this edition, which will start on June 30th, Carlin Dunne will tackle the most famous hill climb in the world on the Streetfighter V4 prototype.
As part of the development process of the new model, the "Race to the Clouds" has been identified as an ideal proving ground for testing the high performance of the Streetfighter V4.
In keeping with tradition, the Streetfighter V4 derives directly from the sporty Panigale V4 stripped of its fairings, and fitted with high and wide handlebars. The high performance of the 1100 cm³ Desmosedici Stradale is kept in hand by aerodynamic profiles... -
1100 Evo Sp "stripe"
Wanted to make my "strip" verson to my 1100 Evo SP
Original cover was painted with original Ducati red (PPG 473.101 Ducati red).
The strip was cut into foil and mounted on a matte ground surface. Then it was lacquered with clear lacquer. Have not seen it before and I like the result -
748 Winter Refresh!!
To be fair the planned winter refresh is taking it's time in between other work.
But the weather has decided to be winter like so I feel justified in still calling it that.
Engine strip time. Only a few bearings and seals need replacing whilst it's apart. A little paint refresh and clean should do the trick. -
1200 Lucky Explorer - First Pics
I just couldn't contain my excitement any longer so here are 2 pics of my MTS with my version of the Luck Explorer graphics, expertly interpreted and done by @evoboy.
He took my sketches and worked with the lines of the bike - I think he's done a great job.
I pick it up tomorrow and will take some quality pics during the week to share. -
