I never used "The Beast" last year and as it's going in for a service in the next month and I fully intend to use it this year, I thought I'd start it up today.

I forgot what an utter animal this thing is. Raw unlike any other bike I've ever owned or ridden. Just starting it up had the neighbours curtains twitching. I know we now have 240bhp V4's with electronics to make NASA jealous, but I honestly think nothing compares to a sorted one of these things in terms of giving you a tingle.

When does summer start again?

I had a little spin on my RS250 yesterday morning, and forgot how much fun it is to have less power. It is an awesome little thing.... even though it smokes, spits oil, and teases me if it going to start.... I wouldn't swap it.... reminds me of being 17 and smelling off two stroke all the time! Made me happy all day and today, so thought I would share a photo with you guys.

Hi all got myself a 848 evo ,What a great bike on a 60 plate she is now inside and nice and warm for the winter so i can do some nice upgrade's on her ready for the nice weather. Have done some already Term's/seat/wheels/number board front and back/ ECU/ air filter/ triple charger connection/ and so on.

I recently started a thread asking for help locating/refurbing a set of 30/34 40mm Brembo’s for my 888. Cut a long story short big thanks to Final Edition who recommend I try Carpimoto in Italy.
Cheapest I found in UK were £270 a pair.

Carpimoto have an offer at €110 each. Needless to say I bought two sets for front and a rear for €80.
Not only that but they were a pleasure to deal with. V efficient, Fed Ex delivered three days after payment.
Highly recommend. So anyone after Brembo stuff. Try them.

One of, if not the, most difficult confessions I’ve made, but as I’m currently going through rehab I’m being pushed to tell the world about the moments or periods of life I’m ashamed of etc..

I confess to anyone who may be interested both in an attempt to improve my own life and for others who may be struggling in a similar way that I’m a self harmer of some 42 years..

As of nearly 7 weeks I can now say, I’m now an ex self harmer thanks to the help recieved and for being in an improved place..

Such was the place I was in I can honestly say often I didn’t realise that I’d cut myself until the blood began hitting the floor..

For me I felt I deserved the reminder that the scars left.. The pain in my head was purely of the dislike I had for oneself..

It’s more painful admitting that I did this than it was to actually do the deed..

If anyone is interested I have recently created a Facebook page which will cover the build process in detail of my brand new V4S. The bike was delivered to me directly from the dealer and has covered a total of 2 miles following it's initial PDI. As you will see from the pictures which will follow shortly on FB, this is a massive undertaking and not a process I would recommend to others unless you are prepared to put in a lot of work and time and you are confident to take on such a challenge. Incidentally, before anyone asks, I am well aware of the warranty implications here. For me personally, as has been the case with all my previous bikes, it is purely and simply driven by the need to build the bike to the exact spec I want. Not necessarily throwing money at it, more a control over the quality of the build process as opposed to it being assembled at the factory, where constraints on time dictate that even at this price point, not everything goes together quite as well as it...

I’ve gone over to the dark side just put a deposit on one of these .Went to the NEC with the intention of buying a V4R .

A friend of mine has continued with his obsessive build of his 888 SP5 and recently added a few goodies to the bike. The best being the hand built titanium header pipes.
I’m sure most would agree. They are a work of art.
He has given me permission to post pics on Forum.
I asked him how much the header pipes cost, his reply was ‘you don’t want to know mate’

Hi All

Came back to bikes about 8 years ago and just got a 1098S as a second bike. Has quite a few niggles including the irritating immobiliser cutting in, seat cowl is knackered, I think the display has a back-light issue. Getting the fairing off has been with every fixing rotted but I'll replace them all when it goes back together.
Most importantly though, it runs okay, sounds amazing and goes like the clappers
The plan is to get it A1 ready for when some decent weather returns. So you'll see me on here frequently with lots of questions I'm sure!

Ended up putting a healthy deposit on this thing.

First time out today (on my 749 ) after a few weeks off due to Holiday's Football, Work and weekend rain
What a shock to the system , my leathers had shrunk , my Glasses steamed up , I wobbled around for the first 15 minutes , got ice-cream head due to the cold and having all the helmet vents open to see where I was going. Every idiot van driver and retail park shopper was on the road , the roads were fairly dry but with damp spots.
For all the road works that's dotted about the condition does not seem to have improved just more rutted and covered is crap . the back end seems to be moving about all over the place and I seem to have more weight over the front than normal
Can you see where this is going ?
After 15 min I'm back on familiar B roads , traffic is light , upped the speed a little and making some progress
Going into corners a bit quicker and starting to use a dab of rear brake as its still a bit damp in places , its a bit chilly even the exhaust seat heater is not...

The weather was just too good to say no. Gave the girls a run out, the R for an MOT and the Bip....well, it’d be unfair not to!

Home but on supervised house arrest...

Hello everyone,

Living a life-long dream to own a Ducati since passing my test in '96 always wanting a Ducati.

Finally!

I now see why it's called the Monster, it's quite a handful to ride and sounds obnoxiously beautiful with the Termi's.

I recently survived cancer - still hoping to survive - and the Ducati was the thing that brought me out of a bit of depression.

It's a little bit of a shame that I thought of the idea at the end of a beautiful summer, but to be honest I was in no fit shape to ride back then and the long summer days sitting out in the sun probably did me more good than I realise.

That's me. Looking forward to many more years of Ducati love.

Would be great to get in touch with anyone local in the Cheshire area.
