Okay just to close this out from my end, we had a 14 tooth front sprocket fitted at the service a week ago and Carole feels that the bike is easier to keep at a steady pace at the lower speed limits which is what she was looking for. I'll keep an eye on chain wear over the longer term and post if anything adverse develops. Thank you again for all the advice .
