Well if you meet David during his DD meets or any longer meets he always had a mattress in the van to sleep in it not in hotel or tent. I guess anyone with camper van is guilty then? No offence but I am fully aware he is sick in a term a sick not well. However it appears all other types of "sicknesses", mental illnesses are excusable as it is not their fault except that is this one. Get him in jail. Done Punish him, he is in jail. - Done Get him medical help and support like all other sick people get. - No as "I" do not feel comfortable with it.

I'm really shocked by this as many others are. Maybe I'm a little old fashioned in my views, but this is wrong. End of! Once is unforgiveable, but twice?? I don't have any kids of my own, and it turns my stomach. Entrapment? I think not. I see it more a filter on society to get people that get a kick out of this off the streets. There is simply no excuse for it. It's illegal but more importantly morally wrong. 4 years is a fair stretch, but I can think of a few more "just" or "fitting" sentences that could be dished out at a lesser cost to us than jail..........

I'm disgusted by him and his actions, I'm disappointed some are attempting to defend him, just cos someone does the time doesn't make the crime ok, I could never knowingly have a paedo as a friend but each to their own, if you think it's right when he's out introduce him as a paedo to a stranger but explain he has done the time so all is ok and see the reaction, 4 years aint enough !

I don't disagree however there's a danger of it degenerating into a competition to show just how much we all hate paedos and how much more one person hates them than another. This might be a good time to lock it.
No it should not be locked, in a day or so it will just die down and be old news. Locking it is akin to brushing it under the carpet, bit like the BBC/Jimmy Savile senario. Let the people speak and air thier distaste.
I have a feeling it won't die down that much if as I suspect, Plod have gone through his PC and phone picking up his email and contact lists in the hope they might have uncovered a paedo ring..... ....I wouldn't be surprised if one, two or more on here have already been subject of an attempt to entrap them as well. Please keep the thread. It would appear from press and personal accounts that it is true. If it turns out not to be (though unlikely), we owe NOG an apology, but our disgust for such behavior still exists and the thread has validity. It is obvious everyone is disgusted and wants to express themselves, is that not what forums are for (even bike forums with off topic areas). If we were all in a pub getting pissed and spouting off, yes I think there could be a problem of competition, over emotion and finally a linch mob hitting the streets. However, here in front of our screens we have relative control and moderators to curb anything too contentious (don't envy you though Rob). Every post I have read here has been one of shock and disgust. I do not believe ANYONE has tried to defend this behavior. There has however, been thought provoking discussion 'is baiting moral', 'is pedophilia a mental illness like substance abuse', 'should we forgive after punishment' etc. I implore you all to read each post in context. I appreciate you all have an opinion, I for one would like to hear them. Please keep the thread (moderated if necessary).
Good grief. Just found this, explains why he had been quiet of recent... I'm not entirely agreed with how they caught him - him going onto specific websites would be cause enough, Im thinking somebody had a grudge to wave a virtual naughty-little-girl profile in front of him, probably the same person who started this thread... You never know. (I hope the wrong people never find out about the 17-year-old Italian I have chained up in my garage) :biggrin:
