Thanks Gaz...I'll see what I can do regarding the cans Good luck getting the bike back in one piece! My original intention was to to go for a single 'Superlight' seat, but I think I've been put off by the price of them (buying the unit, seat pads, fitting brackets plus paint) and the fact that they seem to be a right old faff to get fitted properly (unless you can find a Ducati original with all the brackets in place - impossible!). Also, with the Superlight seat unit fitted, how do you raise the tank to switch the fuel off, surely the seat pad is in the way?
Yes, single seat does seem to be a pain (but worth it). I plan to gather or make parts when and where I can over time, a few people have done a good job on here. Not sure about the raising the seat. I interpret the smiley face to mean "get lost buy your own". Cheers Gaz
I have just bought some hi exhaust hangers. When you get round to it if you can't get any that fit (as some people have had difficulty lining them up) I will model some up for you and you can get them profiled out and bent up. Not sure how I will do the boss though it seems to be spot welded and the welded on the bottom. This is my mock up (minus boss) - need to measure up properly. Cheers Gaz
Thanks for the offer Gaz, much appreciated...The high cans I've looked at do come with hangers...but I'm not rushing into blowing £6-700 just yet! The cans that are on it at the moment are LOUD...originals that have been cored. For the first time ever, I've actually fitted DB Killers...This bike needs a bit of warming up, so I thought I'd better quieten it down a bit to appease the neighbours! Have to see/hear what it's like on the road and go from there. Thanks 'J0n3s'...Hopefully see you out there!
