  1. Nope

At some point it has had a repaint and found it hard to find the vin in the first place without taking of the paint to see it.

  2. You sent an email, I assume to Stefan......................He is at Ducati in Italy.

    AL

  3. Then that is bad news if they are saying it is to long............................................

  4. so, one of my bikes is ZDMH501AF3B005XXX where XXX are the remaining numbers. What form does your number take?

  5. ZDM600S * XXXXXX *
    DGM53640OM

Thats the format on the stem aswell

  6. Mine looks like this: ZDM750SC * 000000 * DGM000000M

......24 digits in total (the '0's in the second and third sets are numbers) the second set are what is on the V5 and the MOT.

I don't think it looks much different to yours.....

  7. Might be some hope yet then, ive sent another email and included a pic of the frame and number.

Only problem is on the form for applying for a V5 the box only has 17 character boxes.

  8. So for the V5 do i only need to supply the second set of numbers do you think?

  9. That's all I would give them.................give the rest if they ask for it...........anyway, the whole lot will only confuse them!

  10. Good news me thinks woop woop

  11. A 1994 600SS? Which is what you thought it was.....??

And with names like Xenia and Claudia cropping up, it sounds like a trip to Italy ought to be on the cards.....

  12. I had it as a 94 from reg. Form of to dvla tom!

  13. They have a database for bikes nearly 20 years old? Whatever for?

The thought of sending them details of my SS never crossed my mind..

  14. Ilike the idea that they want to account for them all.

  15. Moved to Builds & Projects

  16. This is what they need ZDM600S * XXXXXX * (More importantly XXXXXX)

    Ignore DGM53640OM

  17. Cheers thats what i thought, sent of in post so hopefully will get sorted first time!

  18. Yes very likely to be OK. But don't hold your breath, it may take DVLA six weeks to deal with it.

  19. On the form it says dont contact until after 8 weeks!

Im concentrating on the build now in the project section of the forum! fun time

  20. I've decided to do the same thing for my 916 to make sure the bits all came out of the factory on the same bike (££££ later, maybe shoulda checked before i restored it!) . Thank you for the Ducati contact email - fingers crossed.
