Here she is, after a quick wash to get the grime off her after flying up the A1. Was absolutely freezing at certain points but I managed to stay dry over two entire days! To say I'm impressed is an understatement - I bought the bike blind and without a test ride. I can however confirm that all the positive reviews Ive read were 100% accurate. First order of business is replacing the standard heated grips. They only seem to go up to tepid at best. I'm lucky I can still count to 10 Second thing I need to tackle is connecting my phone and cardo to the bluetooth - which will mean scouring the forum for tips and/or posting for some assistance. Had a go connecting my phone and bought the satnav app. Shows I'm paired but it seems to fail to connect when I switch off/on again. Roll on summer!!!! ️
Looks great, faniced a PP when I bought mine but couldn't really justify the extra. Somewhat concerned that you "bought the sat nav app".... You're aware that it's only the v4 Multistrada that can display Sygic on the dash, not the DVT models? The bluetooth connectivity isn't great TBH, gave up on that and just have phone, sat nav and comms not involved with the bike.
Ah, that explains it - clearly rush of blood to the head when I bought Sygic. What's you're setup for phone/satnav/comms? I borrowed a mate's beeline which I really liked except that I couldn't work out how to display how far I still had to my destination (distance and time).
Oh dear, chalk it up to experience and move on... Up until recently I've been a Garmin evangelist, they work well but they have their foibles (as do all sat nav systems). I have a Garmin XT that acts as a bluetooth hub connecting though that for phone and headset. all works well. However, got switched on to MyRouteApp a while back for route planning for the Garmin and am now moving across to using their phone app Navigation Next. Have lifetime subscriptions for both their route planner and now the phone app. Ran this on a trip to Germany last year alongside my Garmin for the sake of comparison. MyRouteApp had several advantages over the XT. My only concern is having an expansive and relatively delicate smartphone mounted on the bike. Bought an SP connect damped and wire-less charging mount before that trip but will likely be getting one of the Android Auto/Apple CarPlay panels soon so I can keep the phone in my tank-bag as usual. I have a fairly old Sena 10U headset, Shoei GT-Air fit. Audio quality is OK but not HiFi, works well for instructions, passenger comms and bike-to-bike with my regular touring buddy who has the same headset.
