  1. Yep - got angel's on the hyper....Ive gotten about 2k out of the rear so far and its in good shape...front will be done soon but that was on there when I got the bike....

  2. I've got angel gt and they're fantastic in all conditions

  3. Bugger. I had my eye on that very bike!

Very nice...well done on the purchase.

I can confirm that the Pirellis will have you taking bites out of the seat in the wet. If you do decide to change them, let me know and I'll have those ones off you for my track bike :upyeah:

  4. Ive got ST's on mine - have you got GT's and if so did you ever have ST's to compare...?

  5. I will definitely change them so let me know if you're interested

I will try to take them off this weekend. Can anyone recommend a good tyre fitter for bikes in London?
I might also sell the high termi soon

  6. Why you selling the termi, I'm just about to have mine fitted so will have the standard for sale, it will of done the first 600 mile

  7. Thanks I also have the standard. It is a bit too loud for my taste buy the jury is out

  8. So which one for wet & dry (town use only)
    1) metzeler m7rr
    2) angel gt
    3) Michelin pr4
    4) other...
    :)

  9. Too loud! I didn't think that was possible

  10. +1 on that - im not a fan of the termi on the 821 (much prefer the sc project pipe) but seems a bit odd to get rid of it...although if you do itll sell instantly...

  11. I think the GT may last longer than the Metzeler but I think the metzeler is the better (grippy) tyre but ive not used a pr4 yet...its the age old thing, swings and roundabouts...id say pick one, run it, then pick the next on your list...once you've got through them all youll have a good understanding of whats best for you and your bike....that's what im doing. Trying a different manufacturer each time...

  12. The biggest problem with tyres is that they can be an expensive mistake!

And the mistakes always take too long to wear out because you're too scared to test them. No-win situation. That's why when I find a tyre I like I tend to stick with them until they let me down even if someone else says "No ... You want xx - they are really sticky!" I've had PR1s, 2s, 3s and 4s and I find for my style of riding and type the type of journeys I undertake they are an excellent compromise as far as grip/wear is concerned. I shredded the original Scorpions on my Multistrada 3,200 miles. But the PR4s have lasted 7,000+ - though to be fair 3,500 of that was touring two-up round France, so no heroics! - and I won't have to change them until the spring. All personal taste as you say though.

  13. Coo - celebrity - ive never got more than 3.5k out of anything, ever....the SC's last til 2k (and the sides on the front were almost smooth....) probably the way I ride I suppose...! :)

  14. I have road pilot 3's on my street fighter they work well wet and dry :)

  15. Not sure what the road pilot 4's are like but the 3's have done 4,500 miles and still have loads of tread so if you are looking for longevity and good grip IMHO they are very good, also my SF spends a fair bit trying to launch me of the back whilst shoving its nose in the air, and the middle has hardly worn.
They also work well in the dry.
    About £75 front & £112 rear 180x55x 17"

  16. Road pilots are on my list - using the hyper as the "try out tyre bike" so far though sc's are my fave...but ironically couldn't use the sc's on the hyper as that's my day to day bike...

  17. Keep hold of the supercorsas for the summer unless you've a penchant for brown pants...

  18. Which hyper have you got CC wise, My SF is 848 plenty of grunt and smaller front sprocket which adds to the acceleration, I will be trying out the 4's next time, but chances are by the time they need replacing they would have let out the 5's by then.
My 1199 has the standard shipped tyres which I think are SC took it out a week ago Sunday cold roads and they seemed fine mind you I aint giving it fist fulls as running it in :)

  19. Would you say the PR4s can be used all year thru?

  20. What is a PR4? A Michelin Pilot Road 4?
I've always had the Pilot Powers. What are we up to now, the 3? It's the one after the 2CT, anyway.
I have sworn by Pilot Powers for quite some years now.
If you can forget about your tyres because they stick to the road and give you a good feeling, I can see no reason to change them for something else which I may not like as much. PPs seem happy in any conditions. I suppose they don't last as long as the Roads, but they still last quite a long time. Best tyres I've ever used, anyway.
