  1. Ordered mine with a comfort seat for a bit more leg room and grip.

The stock seat was a joke - sliding all over the place.

  2. I'll have a look at those Rizoma pegs, thanks! As for the seat, I'm thinking race seat too, although when I picked the bike up Dave at JHP was saying they are having some seats made up so I might try and hang on (in more ways than one) until they get those in and see what they are like. Heard the race seat and comfort seat are identical in the extra height they add too, so if the JHP one isn't a go'er then race seat all day long I think.

  3. Never had a problem with a slippery seat, but if I wear my Oxtar boots the pegs feel like they are coated with oil. But my TCX boots (same company just newer) grip the pegs really well!

  5. is the comf seat higher? i knew the Race seat def is..

  6. Apparently both the same height, race seat is a bit grippier and firmer so I am led to believe.

  7. Well just got home from picking up the 1199. Fantastico!!! I loved the ride home. 98 miles from dealer and it was great. I suppose a little warm in traffic but otherwise great. Quite a lot different to the Blade but I did not expect it to be the same.

You will love it. Oh just a little issue is the the seat it is very slippery and kept sliding forward. Choice is to either replace with comfy seat or race seat. I think the race seat will do. I expected the seat to be very hard but I thought I wasn't much different from the Blade.
Let me know how you get on when you pick yours up.

    Thanks

  8. Glad you are enjoying it Andy; I dropped the blade off the other day and should be picking up the Pani on Monday assuming it doesn’t rain or some work related emergency. After reading other peoples experience with the OE seat, I have ordered a comfort seat which should be in the dealership sometime next week.
I have noticed you are in Bedford, not a million miles from me up in the Fens. I sometimes meet a mate of mine with a 1098 who lives in North London at the coffee bar in the square. Usually on a Sunday morning.

  9. Great let us know when you guys are around. Where in North London. I am not sure I know the bar? Is it as fas down as the ACE cafe?

  10. Sorry Andy I didn’t make myself clear. He lives in North London, I live in the Fens, so we meet for coffee in the in the centre of Bedford. There is a coffee bar van right on the square.

  11. Ah yes I know where. Right in the town centre. Let us know when your there next and I will pop down.

    Thanks
