  4. Yes I think so! Once I get the 853 finished and sold I’d like to go for a set, and yes I really like the ti cans, crisper sounding also!

    defo feel it pulls better with 50mm system

  6. Feels very Winter today missing riding the bikes,

    Have started cleaning the 996 up a bit ready for the new year, will correct the paintwork own the panels, Got a few little bits like Venhill throttle cable and brake lines to tidy that area up and have some wheels on order also, hopefully some nice little bits to bring it up to speed and little and make it another enjoyable year of ownership.

    panels off for paint correction. Out on the chicken chasers with my old man and one of the pair at my open day.

  8. Anyone else climbing the walls...

    Happy new year, Few little items for the 996 landed over Christmas, new brake lines, throttle cable, grips and should have some new wheels arrive mid January fingers crossed!

  9. Missed this thread the first time around! Enjoyed seeing the 916 come back together.

    Some lovely work.

    Having all of the equipment and skills to prep and refinish all of those bits makes such a difference to what’s possible without spending way more than the bike is worth.

  11. Hope everyone is well, little update of parts waiting to be fitted, think I’m going to take the carbon airbox off of the 916 and keep it mainly stock, and give the 996 a little birthday.

    I have a spare tank I’m going to paint for it, have had wheels on order since October…

    and a few other little bits to help tidy it up a little!

  15. Little push tonight, new venhill throttle cable fitted, the joy that is samco hoses fitted… not got any nice to do since the 916 :joy:

    Brake lines next, and new set of grips,

    carbon headlight bucket… what a load of shite that is! Good excuse to clean the original one though :upyeah:

  20. yeah mate my 996 ones are all faded. be good to replace them
