Chap local to myself goes to all the bike meets etc, His instagram is called "therightbikes" worth a follow!
Long overdue visit to Paul at PGP I had the 996 set up when it was first on the road but after finding the good forks and bedding the rear spring in it was only right to call in get it all set back up, every time I visit I enjoy chatting to him so much knowledge such a nice chap, and the bike rides sooo much better the weather was awful here Monday but still felt great!
A well over due clean this week, got rid of the 190 tyre on the rear as I found the 916 turns much nicer, decided to go with some Pirelli’s not had a dry day since to try it Mind you…
Finally got round to finishing up my new old stock biposto seat Today for the 996, just for those days when me and the Mrs get out, happy with it, it’s only fitted when we’re both out though!
Just over 300 miles since it’s last MOT! The 996 is getting too much use! great to get out today on the 916
Not all fun and games. Stator packed up last week, got me home luckily. So the 996 is back under the knife, motor looks lovely and clean inside which is a bonus,
Slow progress but progress at least. All new bolts bearings, seals stator and Reg Rec ordered. Cover was looking pretty tired so stripped and got it blasted tonight, very tempted to just clear ceracoat it as it’s come up so well.
Braved it abs went with a clear ceracoat on the cover as I was so happy with the finish once I blasted it. See how it goes
Yeah a dry ally oxide first then Vapour with a glass beed. Was going to re do it silver but thought it was a good chance to test the clear out. Thanks for the kind words mate
Still no stator but some lovely parts added to the to do list… Brembo master cylinder, ohlins damper and a mudguard worth the correct carbon which has bugged me since the start
