  1. You won’t be disappointed with the performance of the 1299, I test rode one 2 years ago and still have an elevated adrenaline level!.

  2. Nice bike, good choice and welcome to the world of Ducati

  4. Greetings! Looks like an awesome bike -enjoy.

  5. Thanks again everyone for the welcome. Been a while since I've been involved in a forum but this seems like a good place to pick it back up again!

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll make sure to check them out!

Yes it is Darren that I've been dealing with, have been great so far! Yeah I'd done a bit of reading on here before going to look at the bike so made sure the shifter was working and reading fine on the very short test ride so all seems good there bit will have a closer look at the fork seals but there were no signs to be scared of when I first looked but there's always so much to take in the first time.

I've already ordered some tank grips as that's one thing I was really missing on the 959 test ride and am on the lookout for a pillion seat and pegs as they don't have it for the bike and the wife very occasionally comes out. Other than that the essentials are covered for now with taller screen and tail tidy but I'm sure things will get added to the list. If anyone has lists of favourite mods that I should be looking into feel free to suggest! Will definitely be taking the bike to Steve Jordan Motorcycles for a suspension setup as that made such a huge difference on my GSXR, never ridden with rider aids before so will make sure the modes are back to factory as a starting point and then go from there.

Friday can't come soon enough but the weather is looking to be on my side at the moment!

    Welcome into the mad house

  12. So, I now own a Ducati and it's left me pretty speechless. Managed to avoid most of the rain on Friday and got home fairly dry but couldn't resist washing off the rain anyway and I would never expect a dealer to prep a bike to the level I like so I've still got lots of tidying up to do.

Really surprised at how easy the bike is to ride, so tame unless you don't want it to be. The power is incredible but also so happy rumbling along at 30mpg in third. The shifter and blipper have been as revelation and I'm finding myself shifting for the sake of it to just to use it and ride the torque! Did a decent 180 miles yesterday (managed to get to my favourite picture spot) and felt so comfortable on it by the end but know that I still have absolutely loads left to learn and find. The bike's really spacious, the screen's great, the noises are out of this world, the looks people give you are constant, the throttle is very addictive and I'm finding myself going into the garage for any reason possible!

Bike feels a little slow to steer at mid to higher speeds but incredible stable, damping feels pretty good but would say high-speed compression is perhaps a little hard. Will get it booked in to have suspension setup next month. I hear you guys like pictures so here you go, oh and pictures of something else...

  13. If you can find one get the comfy seat pad for it makes a difference and stops you sliding up the tank.

  14. Bike looks awesome mate.

Do you also detail your bins? Cleanest bins I've seen in my life!!

  15. I can't say that I've got any complaints about the seat actually but my tank grips arrived today which I've really missed from the GSXR!

Haha! No, the beauty of keeping them in the garage
