  1. Luckily for me I've never rode an 1198 so I can't make that comparison but after riding the pani I know one thing... It's freakin awesome! Do u think the dealer will mind if I keep going back for a test ride once a week :)

  2. I thought the speed was driven off the gearbox, although I havent actually checked... I've still got my Honda head on!

  3. The problem with 8k on the road is the speed you're doing at that rpm, I agree when you hit 8k the power is fecking unbelievable but you're doing about 150mph. At the risk of sounding like a scratched record I used to love the point when I'd been stuck behind a car on my old 1098 trundling along at 4k in third or forth gear at 40-50mph then coming to clear stretch of empty road and overtaking by just opening it up and letting the torque rather than the revs do the work. The power delivery was instant and endless and you could do it by risking only 6 points on your license rather than an instant ban and public flogging.

  4. Whether you need more torque is indeed a fair question. I was talking to my Dad about the long gearing and he went "Change the sprocket" and I went "uhm, not until I've figured out how to manage the wheelie's better!" That said, start of next Summer I will quite likely give this a try.

If you do decide more torque is a good thing, then the 41T option is fantastic value for a 5% lift compared to any other mod with an equivalent gain.
