Bit daft if the light goes on after you've only emptied 2/3 of the tank. On the 999 it goes on after about 11 litres with 3 more to come.
these bikes shure are thirsty with small fuel tanks , i had my first proper shot on mines aswell i ran out yesterday coming down from glencoe six miles from the light hmmm was great fun tho
From my experience 10l is about right for the light to come on. Pretty sure is does say in the manual. I'll have a look.
Tested mine today...light on the off then on then off then on...eventually about 85 miles and on fully...33 miles later (!) filled up with 12.3l. So 120 max I reckon, and wasnt a fast Sunday ride, mostly m'way speeds on dual carraigeway
Don't worry.........There's gonna be a new, sleeker, shinier, faster, more economic model in the shops soon. My mate heard about it in the pub
Not been out since mate, but just about to go to Bikesafe so should have a better idea soon! Can only improve, what with having to observe speed limits for the rozzers and that!!
Just got 95 miles until the light came on and that includes a razz around castle coombe at the weekend too so not too bad! Dunno what happened before tho.....!
My 1098 thingamabob was exactly the same. First trip out did 50-60 on a tank full, then after ~100. All good in da hood..
Just picked mine up day hopefully the the bigger tank on the corse SE will get an extra 5 mile will test it soon
