  1. Just replied to the PM mate

  2. Just had my first service at Ducati Glasgow. Excellent friendly customer service as usual. Also fitted an SAE Optimate lead for me, all in cost £63. Can't beat it.

  3. The oil alone cost almost that much when I had my 1st service :(

  4. my first service was £205 , feel slightly shafted when I see others costs, I,ll take some KY with me next time!!

  5. Mine was £201 at Riders - so assume the other dealers charging less are doing it as a good will Service and covering costs - not anything else.

  6. Booked in next week.... Manchester are telling me £150.00 first service. I wish least for "Ducati Reasons Alone" I was closer to Glasgow....seems they get better deal and service there.

Thinking of it...If I'd of booked the first service from picking the bike up and headed out there, I'd of got everything done in the first day!

Personally I think 600 miles is too long ok I guess for checking that a few bolts haven't come loose but the oil should be dropped a lot sooner I think. Done 300 and I'm going to drop it despite recommendations should have done upto the first 100 I reckon for the sake of 30 quid. Any metals that are gunna be floating about is going to happen within the first 50 miles probably. Besides not gunna do any harm to change it sooner.

  7. It is good customer service. The first service is basically a safety check plus an oil and filter change. In all my years of new bike ownership, including a number of BMW machines, I have never paid anything like £200 for a first service. That service is potentially carried out within the week of you picking up a new bike, that you have paid sixteen grand for and in most cases more, by the time you add some accessories. Dealers charging that for a first service should be ashamed of themselves. Ducati Glasgow are customer focused and very good at it. They are in business to make money, like any other dealership, but they are certainly not in the mindset of getting every penny out of their customers. Look after your customers and they will keep coming back, not just to buy bikes, but also clothing and accessories. Seams like a logical philosophy to me, that may be lost at other dealerships. Simple solution. Buy your next new Ducati from the Glasgow dealership. Factor it in with a two or three day tour of Scotland, using the money saved to pay for the fuel etc. get your first service done and you are sorted. You won't be disappointed. You won't need to waste money on KY and your dignity will be intact

  8. £205 at riders but did have a loan bike.

  9. £240 at Riders??? I think I paid a premium as I didn't buy the bike there, but still a bunch of thieving barstewards. Re: running-in, I had my 1200s Stripe on the track with just shy of 300 miles on the clock. Loosened it up nicely :)

  10. Bristol, Cardiff or Bridgewater?

  11. Bristol....
