I'd say Mallory too. As a beginner, it's a fairly simple layout. As you speed up though, it becomes more technical. Once you really get to know it (Imola will agree), you really have to be on your game to squeeze your lap time. And, it's the friendly circuit with lovely ladies of the 'The Lakeside Diner' preparing the refreshments
Best track for your first TD imho, Yes right on your game Mate! Me and Ghost having a play at mallory  Happy Days! Mallory ACU Test3 Pt1.avi - YouTube
I did my first ever trackday with UKMOC at Mallory last year. I'd really recommend it. Having also done a few laps of Cadwell, I'd definitely say Mallory is easier to learn. My confidence was building up throughout the day - I really noticed a difference. Haven't done another trackday this year - WDW rather blew my biking fun budget, and the bike is eating my remaining money as everything seems to be wearing out and needing replacing all at once - but I'd love to do one next year. Go for it Pixie!
Great vid imola! Reckon If I watch that a few times I will have mastered the track before I get on it!! Thanks for all your advice guys and gals! The vids been very useful too as the track doesn't look intimidating!
I've done a couple of track days back in the day but always on the track machines (Donny - Ron Haslams Hondas). Always had a fear that I might end up chucking mine down the road However I never did and added to which thats a much more expensive way of doing a track day. I would have said Donny but Mallory seems a popular choice but I couldn't comment as I've never ridden there.
