Fitting Ignitech ....HELLLP

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by indiecourier, Mar 17, 2012.

  1. From you photos it looks like you have more room than I had.

On my bike it is a very close fit and required that the stand offs I used for mounting the TPS mounting plate were the minimal length that gave me 0.5mm clearance on the throttle mechanism. Further I had to used thin 1.6mm plate for the the TPS mounting plate instead of the 3mm plate I originally planned to use. But it all fits and works very smoothly.

  2. Ok, I need to take a closer look then. Would be good to see a pic of your TPS/mounting plate setup if you could get one. :upyeah:

  3. No problem. I will take some and post them next time I have the carbs out.

  4. Thanks for all the feedback from the people who requested a copy of the new unofficial Ignitech manual.

I have now incorporated the good feedback received so far.

I also got asked to supply the last section on optimizing ignition timing to maximize power for one of the club magazines, so I took the opportunity to extend and improve this section.

I have also added some brief stuff on using a Throttle Position Sensor with the Ignitech unit, which I have recently done to our project bike and got much better results than expected.

  5. As requested some better photos.

  6. Looks good, definitely something I will look into. :upyeah:

  7. I have just updated the FastBikeGear unofficial Ignitech manual to cover the very latest release of software. The latest software now adds another dwell setting option.

The latest version of the manual is version 5.

If you want a free copy just email me [email protected] and I will email it back to you.
