Gotya! Bought one of these....long 6mm drill bit... Pushed a long socket extension down into the pipe to push the flapper valve sideways so I could see the back of it....drilled through the rear of the bolts....couple of smacks with the persuader....and this fell out of the other side.... So, bike sees flapper motor, motor thinks flapper is still connected....but no valve....this'll do til I can afford dyno time...
dya like that....one of the rare ideas ive had that actually worked...havent been on it since as ive just got the subframe back on last night...
I took mine off but left the butterfly intact. ChrisW de-activated it for me on the ECU. Simple. Wish I lived nr Bristol to that CJS could dyno it. Oh well maybe in the new year I'll take her down there.
