Hi. i did removed mine with pulling zip tie between fork reflector, and removed the glue residue by using Kent brake parts cleaner 2
i used a tooth flossing thing and WD40 it come off easy but then removing the glue was a difficult part
Hi I also tried with WD40, but too much work so kent brake parts cleaner 2 is better, also paint safe. also you can clean your chain with it..
Done mine as I think the reflectors are crap, took 5 secs to remove the reflector using fishing line and then coated the sticky leftovers in Pledge cleaner, left it for 5 mins wipe excess off and then used my thumbs to rub it off. Took about 15 mins then finally a clean with WD40 and Pledge cleaner. Smells nice too lol
This week I did the Ducati factory tour and the DVTs that were ready for final testing and inspection had these reflectors held on with tie wraps so i asked why and the technician told the tour guide its because the "glue" was still wet. That being the case, its more than double sided tape with contact adhesive.
Didn't look like that to me. mines was held on with double sided tape, the stuff which is a couple of mm thick foam material. I've used that type of tape before, the glue melts in an acetone solvent, I used nail varnish remover.
So the theory is, the person who didn't see the 200+ KG bike making its way up the road with rider on top and eyeball-burning LED lights, also didn't hear the nicely thumping v-twin sound coming up the road... ... but will see a 3-inch reflector on the fork leg for the millisecond it's in front of them. At which point the gormless cretin will suddenly obtain lightening reflexes and stop their car before impact. Hmmmm....
