Wishing you both an uncomplicated and fast recovery. Maybe The Mutley Enduro should have a bike winch on its options list? Air-bag vests are cheap these days.
Didn't get to shout at her as was too busy reasuring my unconscious wife but I believe plenty of people did. I was lying here watching my wife walk about the room and started to think she did land on me or at least use me as a cushion as she went over the car as well.
I'm trying not to go near the light at the end of the tunnel, I think I slipped past it yesterday unnoticed
Big Thank You to everyone. Really takes my mind off the pain and don't feel quite so far from home. Hope to be on s replacement Enduro before the years out.
Do you have one of those electric beds that you can entertain yourself with? The remote control for those is more complicated than my TV, I pressed one button and the shutters started going down on the window! Then my wife took the remote off me and put it on the table at the other side of the room.
Not having lost your sense of humor is the best ally I can think of. Best wishes to both of you for a speedy recovery.
Rider: Excuse me sir, is my wife OK? Ambulance: Yes sir, your wife is doing just fine. Rider: Well can you tell the car driver she's not being paid until the job is done, my girlfriend will go mental! GWS [emoji856] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GWS. Terrible thing to have happened and a situation that you could do nothing about. Just awful luck. I've been there, repeatedly. It's cold comfort but it is some comfort when people say it could have been worse. A head on! Could have been much worse , so thank goodness for small mercies. Good to see you sitting up in bed. Best wishes to you and your wife. Keep us posted on your progress. Oh and one other thing. Nail the stupid stupid driver. These people should be banned from e v e r driving again. I apologise if I'm becoming too liberal as I get older.
Jesus that is a terible accident, the injuries you and your wife sustained are terrible. Hate to say though, they could have been a lot lot worse. Hope you both make a speedy full recovery.
Yes we count ourselves very lucky. We could've gone through the car or into the van or worse still over the cliff.
Shite, that's horrifying! On the upside, you both still have all your limbs, organs and mental faculties, even if recovery will take a while. Your wife sounds like a real keeper, too!
Interesting lump under the blanket are the nurses nice ;p Good to see you're chipper Seriously gws and hope your back home and on the mend - those croissants are very fattening
I hope this thread is keeping you smiling, hospitals can be boring without the electric bed. The next time anyone decides to have an accident can they please do it nearer the south of France as my wife loves making cakes and things for people. As it is you are nearer the south coast of England than you are us!
