Funniest Film Of All Time

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Speed_Triple, Jan 29, 2015.

  1. House Party 3 - I don't think to this day ive seen a film with more one liners ever....watched it again last week - never fails to make me laugh...

  2. Thought you meant that one. I remember it being very funny. Might try to get it to watch it again. Haven't seen it for years.

  3. Re had a few ... not yet but soon. My local freehouse has five new ales on and I haven't done them all justice yet.

  4. I think the funniest bit is when Dud gets a load of people to dress up as cops and 'raid' the studio when Pete is having a spliff. It really is a case of infectious laughter.

  9. Yellowbeard. The funniest thing I have ever seen, but it is all the money python crew with spike million and a few others.

  10. I've just watched the Life of Brian - it's very clever :)

  11. Used to like some of the Steve Martin films, Man with Two Brains was funny.

Meet the Parents / Fokkers with Robert De Niro was good, the Gaylord Fokker character still makes me laugh.

  12. Oh yes, Borat for me.

  13. There have been some simply great suggestions and interestingly mostly quite old. Have more recent "comedies" not been that good ? For me, my top 5 would have to include Hot Fuzz, still cracks me up. Andy

  14. And Borat number one for me too, then all as good as each other, LOB,Blazing Saddles, dumber and dumber, see no evil hear no evil and Young Frankenstein .

  15. Agree with Hot Fuzz, it is our goto film and if it just happens to be on TV it is rare we don't watch it. The line' our Jacky's, sister 's, brothers boy' crack me up every time.

  16. Some good choices and let's not forget Peter Sellers in Return of the Pink Panther:

  18. Yes. It's a shame Malcolm Muggeridge is best remembered for the LofB episode since I think it detracts from the magnificence of his propagation of Mother Theresa's rise to stardom and claim for sainthood on the basis that he witnessed one of her miracles.

The ability of his film crew to capture low light footage in Mo' T's Calcutta Mission was, he said, in fact down to the miracle of her divine light rather than the boffins in Kodak's labs.

I always thought that the claim that he had said this was bullshit, or at least tongue in cheek, until I looked it up.
