  2. He's taking his time as the guinness needs replenishing for that photoshoot:upyeah:

  3. I can't work out how to fit the last piece. o_O It has 4 sides.

  4. After much surface preparation with cleaning, etching, rinsing and mopping and rinsing and mopping and rinsing and mopping (drying is quick here) before laying down the Gunmetal Rustoleum Rocksolid

  5. Spent 90mins starting to lay it tonight. Pretty easy to get along with and lay, and just needs to settle. I'll lay the bulk of it and then come back for the cuts. Not looking forward to moving the garage units. :(

You can see the mess my bike lift made where I used to roll it in and out, I haven't cleaned the floor for months as I'd given up on it. The lift is staying in one position with this flooring.

  6. I’ve decided to lay just under the garage units but I’ve got some panels that clip to the feet which will hide underneath anyway. I’ve included the space underneath in the measurement so will just have those as spares.

  7. I was going to lay upto them, but thought it would look half finished. It's another half a days work to empty them, lift them out and refit them, but once it's done, it's done. :upyeah:

Looks like you took your skirting off - I assume to cover the puzzles also when you put it back... is it wide enough....

Aren't you better trimming them off on the one side?

  9. If the skirting is't wide enough, I'll add a small bead. It'll be close and I had thought about it. I would imagine I'll have to cut the other side of the garage unless I'm incredibly lucky.

The other reason is that if I move house, which is the plan in a few years, I may take them with me and use them in another configuration. I'm certainly taking the garage units. I'm tight like that.

  10. Don’t forget to take the lightbulbs too :joy:

  11. Rob...

With your OCD - start from the middle width and start from there so you have the same cut both sides... or your OCD will always nag you that the tiles are not even....

If you move - downsize - I expect your garage will be smaller.... but you will probably leave them anyway...

  12. Why not use the plastic trunking they use for electrical or heating pipes to cover that edge, then when the time comes, just unscrew it and lift the tiles? it's only a piece of upvc

  13. I like that Noobs, but my current skirting with a bead will be fine (I may not even need the bead.) Plus, my garage units are snug along the back of the garage and I'm not sure I have the width for that trunking. It is a good idea though, and I'll make note of it for any future projects as I hate exposed pipes. :upyeah:

  14. You've never met me.

As for being symetrical. I would end up cutting twice as many tiles as needed and may not have enough, the garage units are off centre due to having 2 tall units on one side and one on the other and...............IT"S A FECKING GARAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. I only mentioned it for the sides chap as there is nothing there, behind the units the units themselves would keep the floor from moving. Still have garage envy though, and I'm sure once the new floor goes down it will look grand. :upyeah:

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  16. It's given me the impetus to finish off all of the small little jobs I never did when I 1st projectorized the garage. Still need to finish off around doors and do some more painting. :upyeah: But it's come a long way.

  17. Maybe not... but anyone who keeps their garage and bikes like that has some OCD... I know...

  18. Are we there yet?

  19. I think he’s wary of finishing until Brexit is dealt with :joy:

  20. Haven't been back in. :( 12 hour days at the moment Noobs and I can't be bothered when I get in.   I'll do it at the weekend.

By the way, I meant the sides of the cabinets when I said at the back of the garage. There isn't much room. :upyeah:
