Cheers Stu, I reckon a vice or other tool will fit, so long as the bolts going through are not to long to interfere with drawers or locks etc. Cheers ex
Not sure if it has been mentioned, but this was a deal a mate of mine took and amended it to include the larger Tool Box. It might be of interest. http://www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/sq-dgeccombo1/ Seems like quite a good price if you after a new box with tools.
Back to the original question - @Pavey is there any reason why you can't/won't fit ground anchors instead? My old house used to have a "car port" instead of a garage so was open to all and sundry. I fitted a retracting ground anchor and it was really easy to do. You could fit more than one if you were worried about moving bikes, as they're not expensive, certainly not when compared to buying massive tool boxes instead!!
To be honest they were a F*cker to fit. Trying to lay it on it's back without damage, by yourself is a arse. I made a wooden frame and used a plant. Stupidly heavy and awkward to move... get a strong friend.
Put vaseline on the floor then slide it in, always worked for me when trying to fit something big into a tight hole, baby
Thanks to whoever recommended sgs engineer I’ve had a right spend up with them and I’m well impressed
Ive had my Halfords kit for years now. Re branded as Snap on a long time ago as that’s what I really wanted but couldn’t afford. Wouldn't bother now if I was buying again. Been great quality just let down by the paint, as where I keep it the suns faded the red.
Oh, and I am a tool and toolbox polisher. At home alone I have sunk three times the value of my hyper sp!! To all those who say ‘it’s just a toolbox’ I prize them over ANY Ducati
