update ... finally received the Zumo XT ... installed and took a shakedown ride. initial impressions after a 2-hour ride: wow ... this GPS is SO much better than my Garmin 395LM. the screen is not only larger and easier to view, as the resolution and brightness are vastly improved over the previous Garmins ... and the speed of redraws, startup, screen changes are lightning-fast. the integration with my iPhone is amazing ... all sorts of message center alerts are possible, while riding ... and they are selectable, and not annoying at all. you can ignore them, or have them read to you through your comm system and on the subject of the comm system and other Bluetooth integration ... so much cleaner and easier to set up than my 395LM. it might just be me, but the spoken turn by turn directions seem clearer, and the voice is easier to deal with .. not as annoying as the previous English speaking woman's voice. oh, and another initial observation, since the install is still fresh in my mind ... the mount is more secure feeling than the 39765LM was, and the power supply is smaller and easier to mount/hide than the 395LM's power supply was. fit nicely under the left upper fairing. so far, i am chuffed with this GPS.
that's exactly what the actress said to the bishop. actually, the screen size looks bigger in the photo ... it's really the angle i took the photo at.
Agree, looks bigger than it really is. Good size though, big enough to be readable (even with my iffy close-up vision) yet not too big. Viewable screen area about the same size as the dash.
after chatting on FB messenger with the company that manufactures/markets these GPS lock systems, having him create a video showing how this Zumo XT lock actually works (their website is a little lacking on details) ... I am going to order one. website/store: https://www.zumolock.com/index.php/en/purchase/zumolock video showing lock zumolockxt.mp4drive.google.com
