Good point. Sustained aggression, technological superiority, and subtle diplomacy made a combination that was hard to beat, which is why our small island defeated so many larger, more populous nations for so long. Another reason is the clever policy of always backing the losers in any given local dispute - so much more profitable than backing the winners.
I remember when The Warriors came out in 1980 ish. It stirred up a lot of gang problems in the USA and over here ! Great film though.
Going off topic slightly but if anyone isn't sure about what a fantastic actor Russell Crowe is, then watch 'Romper Stomper' or 'A Beautiful Mind'.
Warriors..come out to playeay... said the the guy who was Gantz (spelling) in 48rs dodgy 80's movies...but i liked the Warriors dodgy or not! look up 'once were warriors' not gang or skinhead based but its Maori movie with Boba Fett actor. Very violent. Very powerful. Great story. Tried to watch Clockwork Orange a few months ago and tbh its not tested time that well
Temuera Morrison is his name, "Once were Warriors" is more of a true representation than many would realise.
