General Cleaning

  1. Mac - did certain bolts and fasteners go the same way as mine.

The bime will be getting traded in next hear anyway but tempted to replace the sprocket bolts and the wheel nuts

  2. The problem is not Muc-off; it's the rubbish Ducati durability. I had exactly the same experience, having used ACF50 and SDOC100. See here for details: Ducati aftercare - shocking | Ducati Forum

I'm just about to pay £1300 in labour for a failed main engine bearing. In both cases, I spoke to Ducati customer service and they couldn't have cared less.

Great bike when it's working, but I'll never buy Ducati again, unless they can match Japanese build-quality...

  3. I'm with you there. I've looked after this bike way more than any other but still looks rubbish. Its a shame as I love it but will likely be looking elsewhere next year and not ducati

  4. You can eat your dinner off my bike. I used All Weather Biker once and the advice was 'wash your bike in the cheapest shampoo you can find so as not to take the ACF50 right off' as some are harsh. I use Halfords own. After washing and drying off I then reapply ACF50 onto a cloth and wipe it onto the bike.

    Looks immaculate.

  5. Just to add.... My hyper was going the same way (I knew it would be before I even took delivery of it) so I knew what I was getting into.... Replace everything with stainless and titanium wherever possible. I'd wager 90 percent of the fixings along the bottom of the bike can be switched out. Also be ready to recoated stuff... On mine.... Subframe, rocker cover on the front cylinder. Brake line guide, rear footer hangers I could go one.... They're reliable bikes but, as I've said before time and time again.... The bloke in charge of fixings and coatings at Ducati needs a large section of 2x4 inserting into him.... And then firing.

When the engine has to come out that'll be getting recoated also....
