Hermes told me they left my parcel in my safe place! Cunning as I have never told them a safe place! Turned out my safe place was dropped over my back garden gate which is about 1.8m high! On a day that rained! Fortunately product was well not too big, well packaged and in a sealed plastic delivery sleeve so was un-damaged. Hermes now rebranding (as they do Evri few years after their reputation follows them to their new brand) as Evri and who are allready getting trashed on social media, Evri Parcel Lost, Evri parcel damaged, Evri delivery F****d up etc!
Black belt barrister on YouYube yes real black belt and real Barrister! Has done some videos on common scams and the empty box scam on high value articles is common! He recommends any package delivered with any significant value video you opening it so if it’s an empty box (iphone box minus iPhone) you have the evidence to prove the un-opened parcel was empty and so support your claim in the small claims track if necessary to get your money back!
Likewise, I used them recently and all was fine. (Seemingly) genuine parts. Seems like Microfiches supply the parts catalogue and perhaps the orders get farmed out from there - IIRC I had parts come from a dealership in the Croydon area.
This subject has been discussed a number of times on here, as a search should reveal. The link below is to one such related thread that may be of interest. https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/www-bike-parts-ducati-com-fraud-or-a-real-website.84082/ . Hope it helps. Tom.
Had the same but with a different supplier on a different product. PayPal also said item delivered so complaint closed. No further help available from them and I cancelled my pay pal account, life no more difficult without them. I rang my debit card company, who refunded the £27 immediately after hearing the story. Money was back in my account before the end of the phone call, well done Barclays!
