German MotoGP: Lorenzo back on top in FP1, Ducati nightmare

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Conquest Racing Ltd, Jul 12, 2013.

  1. I live in hope , what a sight that would be .Rossi has a great chance I recon in winning this tomorrow

  2. Sadly I think Glidd is right.

  3. Rossi will win it .

  4. It won't be difficult to predict who I on the podium but I think it could be any one of cal Marc or vale to get the win. I can't wait for this one!

  5. Technically Hayden in 8th and Dovi in 11th? Sheesh.

  6. Yep, the other races will be far more interesting tomorrow

  7. Ill bet 50p Marquez won't win it

  8. I don't think it's unreasonable to predict one now. He's got a good lead, but someone has flipped a switch in his brain and he understands that while race wins are nice, it's quite possible to win a championship with a long strung of second places so he doesn't take risks. The fly in the ointment will be Pol Espagaro, but he will have to have a spectacular season to be a real threat to Scott.

  9. Another Rossi win would be awesome, he is quite literally a living legend.

  10. A Rossi win would indeed be awesome and would put the cat amongst the pigeons :upyeah:

  11. Marquez 3 tenths up in warm up. Pedrosa sits it out..... I doubt he'll race if his heads still spinning. I reckon Cal's got a decent chance of a win this afternoon..... And if he does I hope he doesn't devalue it by saying it's not the same without DP and JL!

  12. I already owe Kenoir a cup of tea after the last race, so what the hell, you're on :upyeah:

  13. Well that's all I need to see, a real shame for Danny and Jorge but for me Assen was obviously a fluke its now time to sack Tossi and give him a CRT give the proper bike to Cal who is clearly much better and as a bonus not so much of a wanker.

  14. So sad to see a grown-up trying to be controversial. Pathetic really.

  15. another good day at the office for Cal, well done that man

  16. What can you say about a guy who can leave a 9-time champion on a full factory bike in his wake, and even reign in a young champion elect on an even faster factory bike? Crutchlow is a bloody star.

  17. IMHO Crutchlow is not there yet, it takes him way too long to pass, too long to get going at the start, and too slow off the line.

  18. I honestly thought he was gonna catch him as well, i think he pulled about .4 on him with 6 laps left but MM started to manage the gap a bit.

Hes the real deal and i really cannot for the life of me understand why Yamaha arent wanting to support him. It starts to get a little disheartening when you realise its more about marketing than talent.

With that said i hope the Germans at Ducati sign him, then if they get the bike sorted Cal can start stuffing the Yamahas :)

That'll teach em and its exactly the type of thing cal likes, red rag to a bull and all that.

  19. I think the fuel tank is the issue at the beginning of the race isnt it? I agree he could do with being more agressive but lets be honest, the guys hes been passing recently (or has been stuck behind) are the two factory Yamaha riders, he needs to be damn sure its a clean pass when its Lorenzo or Rossi.

Early on in the race he has no problem dealing with the other riders. Perhaps if he was given top job at a factory he'd just get on with it as hes not further down the pecking order like he is currently.

As for the starts your right, he needs to get that sorted but lets just say he does that and has the better placed tank there's nobody dropping him is there?
I mean these are the top guys in the world (obviously stoner is missing) but he runs their pace no problem, i honestly think hes definite GP winning material if he gets the start right etc

  20. Interesting discussion during the Moto 2 race with Splading and how Cal has used effort to overcome talent. And I think thats he mark of the man: determined to go beyond what others feel possible without the baseline talent of Marq Rossi Stoner. I'd put him in the Lorenzo bracket

needs to start better and does wait a while often to overtake for sure, but then Ponchi hasnt been happy in the past when he's rushed a pass and either run on or binned it, but thinking I'd like to see what he can do on a full factory bike

but never mind that, what about Espagaro?! Freakin awesome
