Depends if Mrs coming..she works until 1430 so 6 if she is coming...therefore likely go for a nice reasonable 10am ;-)
I notice that for 2014 the price of Nurburgring Nordschleife tickets is 109 Euros for four laps. The dates for public days are only published up to June so far. Must keep an eye on the website: Opening times Nordschleife - Nürburgring
There used to be a biker friendly B+B about 2 mins from the Channel Tunnel. Let me know if you want the details and I'll dig them out.
I'm still up for it. To be honest i don't know where anybody would be travelling from but for me I much prefer doing the Hull to Rotterdam ferry out on the Thursday evening, gets you in to Rotterdam about 8.30am Friday morning and then I can get you to Hotel Hullen in Barweiler by about lunch time depending what pace everybody wants to ride. I know the family pretty well there, Ralph has a great collection of Ducatis and a brilliant garage, plus there's a garage we can all use with tools, servicing and cleaning kit on hand FOC I don't mind doing the euro tunnel, done it many times before, it's just a 3 hour ride of tedium from Nottingham to Folkestone.
Here's my recommendation biker-angebot You might even get to meet sabine Schmitz as she's regularly in the bar at night as she lives locally and they are long time family friends, she bought us beer last time so I'm easily pleased
Yep. From London, so tunnel at about 10am would be really easy for me. Could make earlier, if others want to. I notice that the Nurburgring Nordschleife is due to be open for Touristenfahrt on Sunday 24 August from 9am to 7pm (though it is sure to be very busy). If we plan to stay in Nurburg village itself, or some nearby town like Adenau or Cochem, putting in a few laps would be an easy option for those who want to. I'm not attracted by the idea of staying in a small village in the middle of the Hunsruck a long way from the 'Ring, to be honest.
I stayed at Sliders one year. Brendan and Andy are lovely fellas, but that village was dead as a dodo, not even a bar or restaurant. Much rather stay somewhere lively.
Exactly like Cochem, I've stayed there twice, lovely place. I can't come Pete - Not unless I have a sudden windfall
