  1. Only that it will affect its trade in value..i would like to at least have something towards a new one next year!

  2. It might have rotted away by then

  3. You'll have more than enough in it towards a new one!
Now will you be wanting A free pump with your new mountain bike sir.

  4. I have every faith in Ducati to do the right thing and my dealer to do their best for me :upyeah:

  5. How very politically correct of you!
And apparently it never rains in Wales.
And ducati track days are always sunny.

  6. I use a bosh leaf blower.

  7. Wonder wheels was one of the first acid free cleaning products.......ph of about 9 iirc. Evil stuff on bare ally. It wrecked a set of polished mim rims I had on my motor :(

  8. A pint of brick cleaner works wonders, well that's what's needed on Dibbles 996.

  9. As far as I can see we are the ones to blame, consumers. We all want the latest and greatest, use, abuse and chuck. We buy the bike of our dreams and 6 months later drooling over the next model. Result of all this is manufacturers don't give a shit about longevity of their products. Hell when I was growing up if you were lucky enough to have a new car you kept it for at least 10 years. The strange thing is that cars are made a lot better now than then, bikes I don't think so. If a manufacturer made a bike as exciting as the Mutley but made it out of quality components instead of cheese, then I for one would pay extra for it. Reality is it aint going to happen. So if you want your pride and joy to look good you have to be anal about looking after it. My mates laugh at me when I come back from a winter ride and go into my wash and blow dry routine. Do I do it with the car no, bike yes. The other biggest problem we have in the UK in winter are roads covered in salt ! Do any other European countries salt their roads ? Now cheese and salt is a recipe for disaster. Ive been lucky this winter here in West Sussex the roads have just been wet, no salt. Result I have managed to stay riding all winter, bike now 6 months old and done 3100 miles, and with my anal cleaning regime still looks showroom condition. The Mutley is my first Ducati and what I have learnt in this this thread is Ducs and salt don't mix. Problem is I cannot see anything better, can you.

  10. Well I spent all day polishing my nuts with my little dremel wheel...(sore now) but looks great and back if not better than before ... I'll use part diluted TFR and see how it goes never had a problem with the St4 and use my new air blaster to get rid of the water cos it reminds me of my scooter days

  11. I don't have any of these problems, my bikes always look better after I've owned them a while, not worse. That's because I buy cheap shonkers and do them up;) Personally I can't wait for the first batch of rusty old Mutleys to hit the bargain basement...

  12. Got a DR here that fits your bill Fog...shame you're so far away or I'd have you round here and help me convert to a tracker ;)

  13. If I had the money I'd buy it off you, always fancied a big trailie but never got round to buying one (need for speed and all that). Now I'm older I don't need the speed, hence why I've owned 2 ducatis...

  14. While it sits in my van, and it wouldnt start when I tried so probably needs a bit of priming, its doing nothing. I get my workshop bike table next week, so maybe I'll create the room, and enthusiasm, to strip it all down and see where it takes me. Worse case, sell it in bits lol

  15. Bradders, you will only get your table if the van is running. It wont fit in my jap crap sports cars!
