Another thing that needs addressing on the bike is the PIA Datatool alarm, i'll look at getting it removed or permanently de-activated when i get the bike home, its sensitive as F@ck, you just need to shout at the bike and it goes off, it drains the battery and is not necessary these days IMO.
There ya go, finally up and running properly , been for a good ride on it this morning and it's a raspy rocket ship!..not sure whether to keep or sell ,its really quite a nice thing .
That looks great. I VERY nearly bought a new K5 thou in 2005. Got my SPS instead - to this day I occasionally question that decision especially when reading a thread like this.
Should have bought the K5 Thou I bought one brand new in '05, sold it after couple of years later, BIG mistake i bought another one 3 1/2 years ago Here's mine
Went out for a 80 0dd mile run on it yesterday, and after about 30 mile my legs were really suffering from the high footpeg cramped up position, never imagined i would say this but its more cramped than my 916!...my step son who had the bike before me once travelled up to Scotland from Rutland on it with me (i had a Triumph sprint at the the time) and i honestly don't know how he did it. Its a really nice agile bike to ride and the motor is a peach, i'm not getting any younger and it probably wouldn't have bothered me 10 or 15 years ago but i'll persevere for the time being and try and get one of those adjustable footpeg kits for it, anyone had experience of these?
Just get some of those plates (or make some) that drop the whole rearset down and back. edit: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25419848...uid=KJvPL0_FQeC&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Yes, i have looked at these, the only thing is that on the brake side the rear brake switch is fixed to the rear of the footpeg assembly and its brake hose leading to the reservoir will not stretch down any further.
