This is the best pic I've got as it was too dark when I got home. Beautiful weather. 11 degrees when rode it away at 5pm. Did 70 miles round trip into the edge of the Trossachs and home. Bike still spotless but it's getting a wee clean in the morning and hopefully another 100 odd miles. Over the moon. The Termis are just amazing. The hugger looks ace and the whole experience was just first class. Mrs. P had made curry for tea. I've just packed all the spares neatly in the box to go into the loft. And now I'm chilling with my favourite beer. A truly great day. After 7 months, it's here safe and sound. Delighted!
Andy, delighted you got bike without "incident", oh and BTW I'm going to text Blair and tell him to get a haircut!!! If you are free Sunday the Scottish Ducati Club is meeting lunchtime at Strathyre, details on the up north forum, looks like there will be about 20 bods there with a sunday roast on the menu....could be a nice wee run to get miles in for that 1st service...Cheers Bruce
Was gonna cut up to see it in the flesh today but i remembered what rush hour trafics like on gwr!! Hope your clutch didnt feel too heavy after the gixxer
The traffic was absolutely mental. I was heading away from home towards Aberfoyle so hit the worst of it all. My filtering skills got dusted off quickly and I probably cut a few folk up on the rush out but I just couldn't sit in traffic like that. Was boiling too with the underwear pipes and the clutch was a bit tough work. Seem to have bother getting neutral but guess this is part new gearbox, part getting used to it. I was going to try and make Sunday's meet but I can't. Mrs. P has been great about the bike thing and we've got a family day planned Sunday so I better pass this time round.
I've got a DP one sitting ready to be fitted on Monday night when I get back from work. How come the stock one doesn't work and the carbon ones do? Plastic just not up to the job?
Think you will find its ally, unless they changed it from the standard 848. More like a bloody heat radiator to cook the inside of your leg
I hope you didn't pay for those...... I could have done you some, it even looks like they're from a generic collection.
To be honest I've not even looked at it properly. I was so keen to get out on the road because of the time of day when I left the shop and when I got home it was getting cold and dark and it was time to get the wee fella ready for bed etc. I'm not going to get a good crawl over it, wash, drool etc. until later this morning. Slept fine in the run up to yesterday but couldn't sleep last night or wanting to go out and look at it!
I'm had a terrible nights sleep but have just been out for an hour on it. It's bloody cold but the bikes great...... And nothings fallen off!
It's a cracking day here but still hovering around 1-2 degrees I'd bet. Need to stay home with the wee fella until lunchtime then I can hopefully grab 2hrs before heading out with Mrs. P for dinner. Gonna try and get the smaller plate fitted, give it a clean and take some pics this morning though. Busy day!
