Or if you like em you can buy one of these.http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5636479.htm
Trie Tried that on the KTM, affixed go pro to bottom nearside of tank, must create a lot of drag as after fitting was lucky to get 20 miles out of a tank of fuel
but why limit yourself when you can have multi function ie. , monitor, phone and gps all on one screen
if you need gps to get you around a track or are expecting a call, let alone be watching it whilst riding there is something wrong with you....
Thats why I use headphones on my Iphone, turn by turn in my ear with a bit of Demis Rousso in the back ground, Just heading in to the Follow Through, sat nav says fast right turn ahead
what is this track talk,, just checked the OP and there is no mention of track,, i expect that he, like most users of Go Pro type on vehicle cam users, never go near a track,, you seem to be missing quite a lot here ,,again i say, do not limit yourself.
You can use any android phone or tablet to set the Gopro up. A little tip is to install a free GPS logger onto the phone and start that running before you set off filming. When you come to play with the videos on your PC use a free bit of software called "Garmin Virb" and you can then overlay and sync GPS data onto the video, eg speed altitude etc, before you put the video through the Gopro Studio software. I am still experimenting with this but here is a video with my wife following me on her bike. The Gopro was mounted upside down on the back of the bike. I have another mounted on the front.
The mountings themselves are quite strong. I am happy using them on my microlight and the consequences of losing a camera on that are serious with the propeller at the back!
GoPros on Microlights get a much smoother ride than on a bike bouncing and jolting around the roads/track.
I buy mine in the local supermarket, I only have two, one for each camera, but they are both 32Gb class 10.
I use class 10 and both cameras are always set on at least 1080 50fps. One of mine is a Samsung and the other a Sandisk. They are about €25 each.
Stuck mine on the triple clamp using one of the 3m pads. Just use a few of those bars that come with it and it will sit behind the screen pointing forward.....you do need a clear screen though, not sure how good it would be through a dark one. Bike is in Almeria atm so can't take a pic, but you can see where the gopro sits in this pic. Takes some pretty decent footage to be honest.
They do need to be fairly pokey. 45b/s read write I think? Got mine from Go Outdoors, 32gb was enough for a full day I think but it is £60 or so :Jawdrop:
i am thiking of puting mine on the triple clamp as well,, i havr clear screen for now so hope it is good,, but dark later !!
I want a dark screen for my 1199 but not sure where to look for one yet. I priced up a few extras for it the other day, Fuel cap, carbon shock guard, comfy seat, carbon key guard, anodised rear sprocket flange. £600+ best I get saving.
