  2. The nasty little rodent family ate the wiring, intake boots, seats and injectors on my motocross bikes that I left in the shed whilst I was off them
Injured. Within 2 months they had caused mayhem.
Their excrement is like sulphuric acid

  3. I’m curious where you bought the bike from, 3,600 mile round trip! That is one special wife...or did an extra digit got added?

Hope you get the desired outcome.

  4. This is when I was living in Fresno, CA USA. Drove all the way to Houston, TX to get it. And yes, I can’t complain about the wife, as much as I’d like to sometimes. Lol

  5. Any news on this bike??

  6. Really worried now, no response from the OP, hope the mouse hasn't bred and raised a litter of mutant mice which have devoured the whole bike and owner....

  9. Hi All, I chanced on this forum post when i was doing some resaerch, I thought you guys would like to see what damage the little mice actually done, I have just recommisioned this bike, I will add photos, but the apart from the throttle bodies which you already saw from the original OP the front Cylinder suffered the worse, So in the end, the bike needed new throttle bodies (found a set removed from a new bike in Italy) a new piston rings and barrel (you will see why) a rocker, and all the service parts, new belts etc. THe rings were corroded to the piston so badly that there was no way the piston was salvagable and the cylinder had an area of the chrome bore eaten away !!! The bike has been salvaged but not the easy job some thought it might be. hmmm doesnt like to embed the dropbox links for the pictures so for the moment the links for the pics are here...

  10. :upyeah:Cool, it’s always good to see the thread through to the end. Just drag the photos into the box when writing a reply.

  11. Seen them, that damage/corrosion is not all from the mice surely ?

  12. Glad it's getting rebuilt mate.

  13. Mouse piss is very corrosive.

  15. That is unreal. I had no idea it was that bad. The bike was running like a champ when I put it away that winter.

  16. I wondered how the little blighters got in there? was the fairing off when you stored it for the winter?

  17. No. It was all in-tact. I had even covered it with a good heavy duty bike cover.

  18. We’re the mesh covers on the fairing missing?

  19. I want to say no. I believe it was there, but I could be wrong about that.

  20. Yes they were there and unmolested that’s why I thought the fairing might have been off as there was no damage to the air box seal to the tank underside either ???
