Wow. I've known a few and none have done that. This little guy is already very good on a lead and with other dogs, I'll be continuing the socialising.
They're an adorable breed that for some reason beyond me, still get a bad press! This pup has had a fab start in life and comes from a very disciplined dad, they've already socialised him loads and I'll be carrying that on as well as his training. He's a fab little character.
We have had 6 rotty's over the years and 4 of those have been daft as you can imagine - the other 2 you had to watch with the cats and young kids. Now have a Bulldog and she is incredibly affectionate - but she likes annoying the others - she is also not good at sharing when food and toys are around.. Each dog is different - and a breed branding does not always apply. Enjoy your new addition when he comes.
He's already house and crate trained and been brought up with two kids, of 5yrs and 9yrs and never shown an ounce of aggression, I'll be carrying on his training. He's a fab little fella
There are always some people who don't understand the need for careful socialising from day one with certain breeds and so end up with aggressive dogs out of ignorance. I've known a few bull terriers that were very difficult with other dogs, likewise staffies and bull mastifs. All wonderful with people. You obviously know the breed well and yours has had the ideal start in life. No criticising your choice in any way. They are great dogs and I'm sure yours will be a star.
Can assure you it wasn't. 2 cats in the house and two kids, seemed ok with them but the moment in came into contact with another dog, didn't matter what breed, it was agressive and couldn't be trusted. From a pup and a well known breeder with good documentation. Some dogs are like that regardless of what you do.
Maybe not enough socialising with other dogs from a pup maybe. Whatever the reason, there are far more dangerous dogs out there.
One thing to remember is that a dog is not just for therapy, Sure I read that on a bumper sticker somewhere!
That is a nice one. I have two off them myself at the moment. I love them, but once a day you can turn there head off! You have to learn to live with a bull terrier, they are great dogs. But real knuckelheads. Mine are 6(Ish)and 5,5(Penny) years old. Henk!!!
oh wow!!! They are stunners......I'll love him for all his faults,I have read up on the breed for years,as I've always wanted one
Once a bull terrier always a bull terrier. I had a brindle male before the 2 now. He was almost 13 year when he passed away. You will enjoy him that is for sure. Henk!!!
Beautiful pics Henk!! They are beautiful dogs for sure, Remi is a stunner and he's going to be a big boy he weighs over 17kg already.
Don't get me wrong, not saying they are. I'd rather a dog be naturally great with people than other animals
Castration is another option to stop aggressive behaviour towards other dogs, and as we won't be breeding Remi, although he's got fab bloodlines, we'll be neutering him once he's 6 months old. He's gonna be fab, trust me
Can I remind you that my mate Chizel your talking about :Finger: he will need his balls when we visit finm :Wideyed:
