Ha, I have now achieved my life’s ambition! (Actually it’s purile, and off putting for some newcomers, but hey little things amuse little minds, it’s not the end of world I suppose ).
Well, I managed to source some nice 'proper' fairings which fit perfectly, so much easier to remove and replace. Does anyone know anything about this?? Was on the bike when I got it. There is definitely no evidence of any repair, only one fixing. The matching RH fairing is the same..only one hole for a fastener. This LH lower fairing is stamped with Ducati part number 48031551A.
Hi Stu, yes I studied that picture so many times. I know there should be two fasteners underneath but mine only had one Dzus?
Hey, I also notice you have axial front brake calipers. What’s the deal with that? Should they not be radial like each of mine are?
Thanks for that, I had only ever seen axial calipers on the 916 etc series bikes. BTW, if ever I come to sell any of my bikes, can I use the ‘never been tracked’ sales pitch?
I am nott in Nott any longer Now in Yorkshire but I can't see how to change my location in my profile.
We cannot be trusted to do so anymore you need to tell @El Toro what you want putting and he will do it for you
Tell me where you want me to change to...........and if you’re no longer in “Nott” do you want to change your username too?
Been for a ride up to Squire's this evening (Yorkshire people will know where I mean) it was absolutely rammed! There were a few Ducatis there...a couple of Panigale V4s, couple of Monsters and a very nice yellow 748R. My bike behaved itself, no embarrassing stalls and it started up like a good 'un when I left. Better than last week when I had a false neutral and it would not start. Neutral light was not on and it would not turn over, even with clutch lever in! I think there's summat wrong, according to the user manual it should start in gear. I've checked the clutch switch and it is working ok. It's not such a big deal though. Paul
