Have you been talking to Mrs ResB1299? Long story short, I got a call from a dealer who I had previously enquired about a MY2023 asking if I still wanted one. After discussing the pro’s and con’s, they managed to pull a deal together which for a little more than buying an Akrapovic end can, which was on my list to buy for my bike I could swap it for the newer model. As the MY2023 was what I really wanted originally it was a no brainer for me.
Long story short, my mate had a 2022 and 21 at the same time one gloss paintwork one matt. Made perfect sense to him…… They’re IMO very well finished bike I’d buy one over a Ducati TBH should I ever venture above a litre capacity.
Why thank you, looking forward to it for sure. It wasn’t Teasdale’s as it happens. Sounds like you may have heard or had issues with them in the past. Got to fit all the bits I’d just put on the old bike to the new bike today at some point hopefully!
Funny thing was, the guy wasn’t aware he was picking my old one up when dropping the new one off. I was tempted to keep it and see if anyone noticed!
Just to put a comment about Teasdales, with all of my dealing with them they have been absolutely spot on.
No, I’ve got no issues with Teessdales at all, always been more than helpful as I’ve had a couple of test rides from there, just figured it may have been them because they are pretty local to you Keep us posted on your experience with the Tuono, especially fuel consumption as they have a reputation for being big drinkers, that’s one of the things that stops me pushing the button on one not so much the cost of the fuel, it’s just that my mates would be well pissed if I had to stop every 90 miles or so to fill up when we’re on tour
At 90 miles my bud is fretting for a fuel station, but then Mid Wales is where he/we ride predominantly. It’s why he prefers his S1000r over the Tuono, but then for some close to 100 mile is their limit before a rest/coffee.
I get 140 miles to a tank on my 18 tuono factory with race map. Mixed riding conditions. Seems to be the slightly higher end of the norm going by aprilia forum.
To clarify is that the whole tank or up until the fuel light, I’m using my buds fuel light as his bench mark for looking for a fuel stop. I have suggested to him we take a length of hose and siphon fuel from my bike into his just to test his maximum range, as some fuel gauges are more accurate than others.
