  1. As this present government seems determined to smash the criminal Bar in the same way it did the miners in the 80s, and to sell off the duty solicitors' contracts to the lowest bidder as more or less monopoly suppliers (now there's a model which has worked outstandingly well in every other public service area it's been tried in?), the Conservative party is no friend of mine.
