Gran Premio Iveco de Aragon....spoiler

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Il Presidente, Sep 27, 2013.

  1. it wasn't a pass but it was an over ambitious action without a plan, that he pulled out of ....the consequence was he struck the other bike.......and then all the snowball of that rider being out of the race the title race and probably a job.......

  2. So lets penalise them and stop the racing, then we can all go back to whinging about how boring it is

  3. Exactly. Bit like Simoncelli in his first season trying things that would never work and leaving carnage but in this case it knocked one competitor out of a championship race when it was getting good. Of course he did not do it on purpose but he did it none the less.....

  4. What are your thoughts on Melhandri then, or Guiliano? Or even Laverty?

  5. Oh they are hard but have more experience and in my eyes at least seem to do hard but fair passes. There is the odd one thats a bit less likely to happen....

But the Marquez thing wasn't even a pass, there was no way he would have a chance getting past....

  6. And they were both unlucky to touch, and the slightest of touches. Just shows Pedrosa cant buy luck this year. He was reckless last year, certainly beginning or the season, but this year seems more reserved and takes his time to me. Being that he wouldn't even wait a corner never mid several laps before.

tbh I am amazed people are complaining about watching him race and want him to fall back into follow my leader

  7. However unfortunate the incident was it justs how much rider aids have changed the game, if Danni didn't rely on TC and could control the wheel speed with the throttle he'd have stayed on regardless, same for many others.

  8. I fully expect he would've controlled the bike if he had known the TC was gone. It was the fact he was expecting it to behave as per normal and it didn't which caught him out I reckon.

  9. Don't really agree with that. Highsides were a frequent occurrence in the pre TC era. And surely if your bike's characteristics change radically over about 30 yards, you've only got a couple of seconds to adjust. I reckon anyone would have been caught out. It's so easy to forget the talent level of these people. Racing at well over 200 mph? It might look easy on the box. Live it is just staggering.

  10. I've got TC on one bike (195 BHP) and one without (200 BHP) I ride them exactly the same, maybe I'm slow but I've never triggered the TC, I agree if it's not there then it would catch him out, but it shows that he relies on TC not throttle control.

  11. Are you ragging them both on track on the limit?

  12. Simoncelli used to get a bad press for his hard overtakes.

let Marquez race as he sees fit, as that's what we want to see at the end of the day. Not a parade. if he's out of order, let the Stewards decide.

  13. Im surprised nobody has mentioned Pedders taking out Hayden in 2006 at Estoril

Why are most if not all Motogp vids on youtube in Spanish?...yes I know Dorna is a Spanish Company

  14. Of course, it could have been Dani trying to brake-check Marc...

  15. MM docked one single solitary point. Honda lose all 25 constructors points. Talk about a token gesture which will have zero affect on the title(s)

  16. Why the hell was he/they docked at all? It doesn't make sense. The rules in motogp are constantly changing in order to make the racing more interesting, and the second it does they start docking points. Grow some cojones chaps, this is racing:mad:

  17. guess i was right...
should have been the full 25 race win points imho as hes proper wrecked a closer than is champoinship

  18. Nope, its politics

  19. What a rubbish decision. You either think he was at fault and dock points or you don't and you don't. Docking one point just means "er... yes...er....no.....er.....yes.....er...I don't know!" It's like Indecisive Dave.

  20. ..and Honda seem to lose more than MM, how does that work?
