V4 Granturismo Version Announced Later Today

  1. That's what I thought too, especially when you call it grand tour, you'd think they would get you more range. Plus the phone pocket away from the tank is great. I've started using this pocket to charge power bank on the Rally bike. It's only 1amp supply, but enough to make a difference on a camping trip.

  2. Yep!

  3. So I guess we’re saying that there is absolutely nothing new, ie not previously available on this latest rendering. Is there any point to it?

  4. In fact if you compare like for like V4s full vs gran tourer pls end can ; you’re paying roughly £700 for a badge????
And the good news is the configurator is working , I’ve just managed to get one up to
    £ 41307.85.

  6. I wonder if the coming instalments are going to be a bit more exciting? 2 min into the video was enough to put me to sleep!

  7. I hope not. My money is very safe if it carries on like this!

  8. Well apart from the livery, petrol cap and the spots it’s just like mine. Except I’ve got spoked wheels on mine.

  9. I can’t make out what exhaust it comes with? It is listing the Akra as an optional extra? If it is then like for like it is £400 cheaper with a few extra cosmetics.

  10. That was quick …

  11. £1309.66 for the Akra end can

  12. is a sales initiative, order books will be a bit thin in the current climate so create a relatively "cost free" new model name, great excuse for some marketing focus back towards the Multi and all the other models included in Ducati's "World Premiere" initiative. sell some more is the point. for all we know thy have a ton of bikes coming down the production pipe and they all need garages to sit in over the winter

  13. I thought the Grand Tour or GT version of the Multistrada normally comes around a year or so before an all new model. As the V4 has been out for a few years now, will we see a facelift/ new model this time next year?

  14. I hope not … the value of the existing model will drop like a stone.

  15. Could be right - DVT was on a 15 Plate 1260 Version 17/18 plate and V4 20/21? so seemes like a 3 year model refresh cycle... and 6 year complete change.

  16. Probably but I can’t see Ducati (or anyone else for that matter) spending massive R and D costs to develop a new big engine.

  17. I'd say it's more likely to be a facelift than a totally new model maybe with some of the features from the Rally and PP, rear cylinder deactivation, SS swing arm?

  18. It'll probably be a refresh, similar to the 1200/ 1260

  19. The next refresh/upgrade to tbe V4 will make it a V5 :p

  20. If only Honda had made a road engine from their V5 Motogp bike.
