It's the first time in years that I've been so animated and vocal watching a race! Can't wait for the next one! Marquez is going to keep things very interesting this year. If only Cal was on a better bike....
It was a great race, I've never been a huge fan of Rossi but must admit that was display of unstoppable determination to fight his way to second place. Dreadfull taste in earrings mind.
Never assume anything. Not even that certain "special" dealers get told things in advance of the rest of the world knowing.
Marquez was simply brilliant. The body language of Pedrosa and his team said it all when he walked back into his garage.
I dont know what it is about Pedrosa. Some races he is so fast at the start then just fades away. Hard on tyres? He needs to pull the cat out the hat though. HRC will not be excited about renewing his contract if he finishes second to the rookie at the end of the season!
Dani was never on the pace at Qatar so a podium was always going to be the best he could hope for. He'll need to win a Austin or his season will already be seriously on the back foot. Great opening gambit from MM, a serious performance from JL, awesome return of VR. Good performance by all the Ducati boys. CC proved he has the pace and then you have SB and AB who will be in the mix. This season could be very exciting indeed
I'm prepared to cut Pedrosa a bit of slack; the last couple of years he's started to look more aggressive, and his performances in the wet have improved beyond recognition. But if he's gonna roll over for a rookie like he did at Qatar, he might as well hang up his gloves now.
Rossi showed that it's about race craft and not always about pure speed. Those young lads have a thing or two to learn from him! It was interesting to see him take a high risk and then to see him bide his time on every over take after that. The man is the GOAT, and he will hopefully continue to shine throughout the season! Go out with a bang, Rossi my old boy! Then get yourself in WSB and show them how it's done
