  1. A couple of dots of Silicone sealant? I have used that in the past with great success.

I wish I could buy grips with lock-on's as per my mountain bike, two grub screws and job done no mess no waiting for glue or hair spray to dry.

  2. Bloody brilliant! Never heard of that before.....saved me a whole lot of time and swearing this afternoon. I thought it was a good idea when i read it a month ago but couldn't remember what it was you'd sprayed....quick search and a trip to Sainsburys and grips on in 2 minutes....nice one thank you!

  3. Yep hairspray or washing up liquid. Both work well. Then get the lockwire out Ali, its the best part

  4. Do you know what @bradders? I was just thinking I needed to get some lockwire :D

  5. I got the pro grips and some Renthal grip glue. Just collected my r1 throttle tube so nice little project for the weekend.

  6. What's the r1 throttle tube do?

  7. apparently shortens the throttle travel by about a 1/5............ I'll do some before and after measurements to check and post up.

  8. I just measured my MTB bars on which I've got Lizard Skins grips, screw on type. 22mm that's that's standard for metric bars on motorcycles. Haven't gone to check the length yet, but I'm pretty confident bicycle grips would fit on M/C bars and the Lizard Skins pair I'm using I reckon would work well...............nice and chunky

  9. Dont forget that the throttle tube has a greater OD than 22mm. Thats why motorcycle grips are for motorcycles.

  10. Yeah your right I thought about that after

I've got a throttle tube off a Guzzi here. Maybe sometime over the weekend I'll give it a try

    Surely worth a go
