I collected mine last Saturday after a long search for one inside 18 months old. Why 18 months? I wanted the extended warranty. I got that FOC so I have 21 months warranty left on my bike now which isn't a whole lot off a new bike warranty! So far I've fitted the MiVV cat eliminator and a Termi exhaust, larger Duc screen and the Nav goes on today. This is my first Adventure bike after a life of sportsbikes and streetfighters. I absilutely love it and for the first time since I can remember I just want to go out and ride !
What is he fuelling like with the MIVV? I like the idea but hear very mixed reports? I would be linking it to he carbon termi slipmon. Ta
It seems fine. I haven't done any town riding as yet with it fitted but it really does seem fine to me. However, I am going to take it off to tour, it is too loud even for me and I have had some loud bikes in my time and feel it would draw attention abroad which I don't want to do. As a last resort I'm going to shell out the £55 for the baffle, it that quietens it down a bit I'll keep it. If not it will go in the classifieds or on E Bay.
Cheers. Im told the baffle makes the world of difference and yes without it it is bonkers loud. Id definitely be going for the baffle. Without it you effectively now have a straight through exhaust as the end can has no silencing in it at all, its all in the cat.
I just thought I'd chime in - I've got a 1200 GS Adventure and a Multistrada. I've always liked having a sports bike and a tourer, but as you get older the sports stuff gets more extreme and uncomfortable, so thats why I ended up with the Multi as the sports bike in the garage. The GS has a 33 litre tank, and chugging along at 75-80 it'll give a 400 mile range, handy for those early morning cross country jaunts down to Devon etc. Like Guzzis you notice the quirks and defects first, but then they get under your skin and you develop a quiet admiration for the way the heavy old girl gets you across country. I reckon a Stelvio will be it's replacement in a year or so, unless the bubblehead boxer turns out to be a belter. For making progress with a huge grin though, the Multi is brilliant.
