When I were a lad in the 80's those super short Adidas shiny shorts were ubiquitous. Try tracking down a pair now, desirable colours such as red with white stripes can go for more than £30 a pair!
Mind boggles as to how you know such an interesting fact :wink: I think my worst fashion purchase was a multi coloured wetsuit in the mid 80's and a matching sweatshirt (I may have a pic somewhere)
A selection of perfectly good trousers with broken zippers. Perfect for around the house. I almost never forget to get changed into trousers with working zippers when going out or when greeting guests ...
Any ex squaddies from the late 70's here remember the infamous 'draws cellular' ? plus the awful blue shorts and plimsols.
Went to an 80's party once.. now that 80's things are 'retro' its all gone bloody ridiculous.. wanna see how much a good global hypercolour t shirt goes for, too (you remember, the one that changed colour to show how sweaty you were!!)
They where last year a fashion statement in Essex ( vintage) they are also highly converted in some gay circles . They go for crazy money now satin ones pmsl!
I found one of those in the back of my wardrobe and got shot last year !! Noooooooooo!!!! Really bugger! Great idea if your a girl two big round hot patches for boobs and two hot patches for armpits .. Tasteful !

Please please no Lycra spandex short things .. Please note when your being a mamil don't buy orange ones . You may as well cycle in cling film as from behind its see through ! If you must keep your man conkers under control please go and buy one of those fetching " nut bra's". I thought all men had lounging pants / trousers / shorts as every man I've lived with has . This is for laying on the sofa with your hands down your trousers whilst watching T.V Its a man thing .. or having a good scratch . yes we do know about this !!!! It's excepted .. And we turn a blind eye.
My specs.........had grey tint, pink tint, bronze tint..............all aviator style.......... ....now my eyesight has got worse, no longer avaiator, but they are blue tint. AL

Is there facial hair crimes ? must say not fond of tashes on their own . Best left in the 70s other then that doesn't bother me now . when in my 20,s I was facial hair phobic.

i could easily top this thread....i was an 80s hair metaller..some of the get up i wore would make you soil yourselves...zebra skiin spandex, balero jackets, leather jeans so tight you could tell what religion i was, white skunk stripe in my flowing locks....i still dress like a knobber now when im peacocking..fkn tw@t.. my mate did the whole glam thing...eye liner, nail varnish, crimped hair, snakeskin cowboys, big hats, long leather coats....thing is, when he goes out he still does...he's 6'5 and in his New Rocks he stands nigh on 7'....birds absolutely bloody love him.
