Ordered for when my bike gets fixed...hopefully. Matt I'll get some swanky photos of them installed and send to you if you want to use them on the site. Supposed to have bike in the studio next weekend. On a seperate note I've been looking for a screen protector for my Sony cameras. A7ii & A7Sii if you fancy going into camera screens too and Go Pros etc.
Thanks for the order Some nice studio pictures would be ace, many thanks for the offer! I'm amazed there aren't protectors for the Sony camera's and GoPro's, they're just a simple rectangle, so maybe if nobody else if offering them, then I should!
Feck me Matt your brave living in midsomer, murder goin on every week ?, I will pop a order in when I get home, always paranoid about scratching the dash when I take my mirrors off for track days.
Yeah, you have to be on your toes round 'ere. We have some nice fella who comes round and catches the bad guys though so it's ok You can just about see me in the background there, with some of the other locals...
I don't unfortunately sell protectors for the Ducati Monster just yet btw, just the Panigale and 848/1098/1198.
Thanks for your order James. You didn't apply your 20% forum discount, so I'll refund you your £1 now.
Matt, Can I ask have you sought any guidance from Ducati as to whether or not they envisage any issues in applying a screen protector? I cannot see why apply a protector would be an issue however the screen is very delicate. For example the first screen on my 1199 shattered for seemingly no reason and the second was scratched badly by the dealer whilst cleaning with a soft cloth. Many thanks & good luck with the venture. DC.
Hi, no I've not spoken to Ducati themselves regarding the application of a screen protector. I have however had one fitted to my own bike for approximately 6 months now and I've not encountered any issues. I've fitted and removed multiple protectors as I've been going through the various designs and finishes. I've also had two forum members fit them to their dashboards (an 899 and 848) and they've not reported any problems. The fact that the screens are so delicate is the exact reason why these are a good idea! Clearly, I would never want to cause any damage to anybody's dashboard with my protectors, quite the opposite obviously. The screen protectors are made from PET and have a very good adhesive in that the are strongly fixed on but can also be easily removed as and when required. I'm not sure if this helps to reassure you, however these obviously aren't an official Ducati product.
